Whenever you're in General Luna, Siargao Island, take a short hop at Daku Island. Its called "Daku" in Visayan dialect meaning "Big" in English. This island is also inhabited by a few families, part of General Luna's component barangay. It has a long white sand beach, and crystal clear water! One of the attraction you never have to miss!

Take a day to go island hopping and see a few islands in one day. Great day out! Loved the cute cabinas you can rent for about 200 pesos!

Dakota island is a beautiful place. We had a great surf session, then enjoyed a meal of fresh fish and pork chops cooked by our surf instructor. The place is what you imagine the Philippines to be... White sand rustic, with a friendly feel. Note there is not electricity or store on the island so you have to bring p your food, although there are huts and BBQ facilities you can rent.

A Short boat ride off the resort is Dako. The water is clean and the waves are so powerful we spent half our time being dumped on our butts. he island has nothing to sell nor any recreational ammenities beyond a volleyball net, but it is beautiful sand and water.

Dako Island is truly spectacular! We rented a new double kayak really cheap from a place called Siargao Kayaks on Siargao. We left at about 6am in the morning. The water was calm and you could see your reflection in the crystal clear water. The trip over only took 25 mins and was amazing enough but when we arrived we couldn't believe our eyes. The beach is like something you see on a postcard with white powdery sand and coconut tress. Without a doubt, Dako had the best swimming beach of all the islands we visited while we explored Siargao. There is fantastic snorkeling near the surf spot and around the southern tip of the island. We watched some surfers catching waves and we found an amazing big private grassy area to relax. The island has a cool vibe and island culture. Walking through the village is like a step back in time. Amazing place. A must see!
