'Fabulous'

Stayed during late July 2019. The location of the hotel is quite close to the koggala lake, Madol-Duwa ,and the Koggala beach which was right across the road.The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They always welcome you with a smile. We stayed in a tripple room on half board basis. Room was excellent , clean and surprisingly comfortable. Foods were delicious and fresh. Fabulous place to stay. Worth for the price. Highly recommended.

Great Place to Stay

Stayed over during a June weekend. Fabulous place to stay, great value for money.
Great location, not too crowded by other hotels. Is on the edge of the Koggala lake and about 5 min walk to the beach. There was no buffet given there were only very few people during the weekend we stayed, but the food was authentically Sri Lankan (lunch & breakfast) and was served generously. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The rooms were really comfy and had a little chalet feel to the whole set up.

Definitely recommendable.

A Good Place To Stay

We had a wonderful stay and its Calm and quiet(Room 106) .Its worth what we paid .We cant expect more according to what we paid (Rs 11,600/ HB DBL).Rooms are well clean and all equipped like 4 star Hotel.
Not Big Spread but Good Food Good taste and Good Combination done .Mr Suni (Foods)And Mr Dhammika( Restaurant in Charge)doing their maximum.Maintenance staff personal also given quick service too.
I recommend this hotel anyone needs a break and Hide and Relax.

Lack of staff made our experience not so memorable

We visited this hotel during Easter weekend and from the time we went in we felt that something missing from all the awesome reviews that we’ve read before making the booking.. soon we realized that they were short staffed.. we neither got the welcome drink nor the hot/cold towels that were mentioned in the previous reviews.. but the receptionist/duty manager was kind enough to upgrade us to a pool/lake view villa which was great..

The rooms were clean and had all the necessary amenities. The bed was really comfortable to sleep in and we all had a good nights sleep.

The let down was the food.. it was neither good nor bad!! We were in a confused state after having all 3 meals.. it was like eating home cooked meal with a soup cubes and possibly MSG added to enhance taste (we don’t use taste enhances at home). Since we didn’t see anyone resembling a head chef it is safe to bet that he/she must have taken time off after the busy avurudu season.. which is a bummer coz we were looking forward to the delicious meals that the reviewers promised 😜

They do offer some additional activities like kayaking and boat rides to the neighboring islands.. not the best kayaking spot in SL as the kayaking area is very limited coz they advice not to go near the islands coz of the crocodiles. They do have a beach area across the road for all the beach bodies 😎

Hopefully we will have a better experience next time(if we decide to go again)

Such a worthwhile deal highly recommended for locals too

What the hotel had to offer us for the nominal price we paid was unbelievable. The staff members who smiled all the time made sure we were having a wonderful time. The chef personally did table rounds to ensure the guests ‘ expectations of food were met. We were also given a lake checkout free of charge. The cleanliness of the premises including the nice swimming pool overlooking the lagoon was maintained satisfactorily. The beach was right across the road where there were other bars and restaurants. Such an ideal escape for locals and foreigners alike to relax within one and a half hours’ drive from Colombo.
