The staff was amazing, the food was quite good. Suited quite well for the training programme. Relaxed and calm environment. Also close to the beach and also to the lagoon. The rooms are well placed with a nice view. Home like atmosphere.

With concern i have taken note of how your booking and communication was handled by our reception associates and sincerely apologise for the unprofessional handling of your booking. I have read over the mail correspondence from our end to you and have noted that the reconfirmation was not as detailed and clear as it should have been.
This has created the confusion of the rate quoted by us it be for one night and not two nights as it was construed by you and is a gross neglect from our end. hence upon check out the hotel had made the adjustment by discounting you one night for a two night stay.
I thank you for bringing this to my notice and rest assure corrective action have been taken with the associate concerned.
Perhaps when you decide to travel to the South of Sri Lanka and reconsider South Lake as your hotel to stay i would be very happy to personal welcome you and demonstrate our hospitality at its best.

All rooms in two floors facing the lake in the middle. rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean. This resort in between main road and rail way tract located close to beach and river.
pool was clean and good. their buffet was good but the variety was limited.

Great location. Good food and quiet setting. Loved the lake and the boat rides. The beach is just across the road and the stretch of beach is nice and welcoming. Would definitely come back for a longer stay.

I was part of a large group of 22 friends having a high school reunion (same as reviewer A N below).
Large groups can be challenging. And I have to say that the staff here ensured that all our multiple needs and demands were always met with a smile. The spacious resort, clean rooms, good food, great service added to this made it a wonderful experience for us.
Thank you South Lake resort. You can be sure that I will recommend you to others.
22 friends getting together for our 30 year high school reunion. Amazing accommodation, warm hospitality and perfect location. Thank you for making our stay so special and memorable.
