I staid only one night in this hotel because I had a problem with the hotel which was foreseen for me, even if I was a last minute booking the staff were very kind and helpful, very nice location, nice rooms, nice staff, it´s definitely a place to advise

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights on our journey through Sri Lanka. The hotel is nice, friendly and extremely convenient for the National Park and Elephant Transit Home (ETH). There is very little out and about so in this area the hotel is probably key. The food was good, the service was fantastic and the staff were prepared to have a laugh which we loved. I was given honorary Sri Lankan status as I ate a birds eye chill after I had mentioned the Sri Lankan curries don't tend to have a lot of spice (was explained this is due to other European travellers reluctance for too much spice). Generally we enjoyed our stay and would go back if we were in Udawalawe again.

Very noisy. There is no internet in the rooms and the internet in the lobby was extremely poor. The pool rules took most of our stay to read. Coat hangers were supplied but were useless seeing as there was nowhere to hang them, the sheets did not fit the beds and the mattresses were very uncomfortable. There were also holes in the sheets. A terrible smell of burning plastic lingered the whole time. The flies at breakfast were unbearable to the point of not being able to eat.
Nevertheless, there was good food, a nice pool, the hotel was fairly close to the entrance of the park and the staff were good. The safari organised by the hotel was excellent.

I really liked this hotel, the room was comfortable and clean. It had a nice little balcony overlooking the entrance and pool area. The staff were lovely, and it’s in a great location. We loved the little bar area upstairs that we could sit in after eating in the restaurant- although as with all our other hotels, they stop serving drinks around 9:30. The problem is the food - dinner and breakfast are served as buffets. The food seems to be a good quality and is tasty - it’s just not hot. We stayed two nights, and it had improved the second day, but was still not as hot as it should have been.

Buffet lunch was just ok. Club sandwich was ordered in our group and was pretty decent. Near the national park. The hotel exterior seems really nice. Staff was overall pretty nice and service was average.

The hotel is on the main road, conveniently close to Udawalawa National Park - (which was well worrh the hour long queue to go in early morning!)
Our room was Ok, with a small balcony + tea and coffee and kettle. The towels were rather thin and worn. There is a nice breezy sitting area on the first floor. The place was let down by the quality of the food - awful!
The first night I had over strong minestrone soup from a packet followed by overcooked fish in breadcrumbs with boiled potato and rice. Next night I had the local food but it was really not nice - chewy veg curry and tasteless dahl...Breakfast was a mediocre buffet. We have had much better in other places on our tour.
