Not good at all. The staff is not friendly. Many don't speak neither English no Russian. The room is smelly. Food is not good. For some reason, Saturday night the restaurant is full with locals, the music is roaring, people are shouting and the best thing - they can walk around the hotel :) The regular price is biting, almost 200US. For this money, try to find something else. Definitely, not recommended.

It's not a bad place at all, although quite pricey if you get to the better bits. I stayed on a business trip and got one of the back rooms with the small funny windows, it was clean and cheap (business rates) but just a room. The restaurant and bar are fine but on the price. There is a spa downstairs which is ok but again quite expensive.

Very poor service, no english speaking, receptionist doesn't know her duty. Saying that no accepted any payments through www.booking.com, So looks like double charging ..So be carefully ask first if they accept booking.com or internet payments (or did they receive payments for Your booking).

Looks good from the outside, interisting features inside, but a very Soviet approach to service; no initiative from the staff, room very hot and noisy due to traffic outside.
The restaurant food was expensive and mostly not value for money, the automatic 10% service charge added makes a mockery of the concept of service. The only thing they were quick with is to present you your bill.
Starters arrive together with main courses or after, it is always the same music on and on and on and on until it stops being funny.

We had a couple of power cuts and the staff were so quick lighting candles it must be a regular occurrence. Also, leakage in the bathroom from the floor above which caused me to slip and a toilet bowl that came loose from the wall, did not inspire confidence in the build quality.
The WIFI could not support skype.

If not staying too long it is an ok hotel, but I have been in better places for less money.

Room Tip: Stay away from the rooms above the restaurant as you will have the smell of burnt wood in your room...

Very nice hotel a bit out of the city centre, but stright on the way to the airport.
I arrived late night (or very early in the morning - 3 am) and everything was ready. Nice, big and confortable room (a bit noisy due to strong wind - last floor), breakfast room service perfect, but the variety of food was very limited...
After 5 days of nice living on D-Island I came back and I had the chance to have dinner and the food was excellent! Waitresses a bit poor in english but anyway we got what we ordered.

Friendly staff. Great value for money. Room was too hot. Had to sleep with window wide open. Asked Reception if they could have someone look at the AC but was told that there was nothing wrong with it. Breakfast & Restaurant food was of a good standard.

Having traveled to a lot of oilfiield towns in remote locations, was pleasantly surprised to fine that the Nur Plaza was a modern clean hotel. The bed was pretty hard, but bearable, overall the room was clean and adequately appointed, nothing fancy, but for the equvilant of $81 US a night not bad. Would stay there again if in Aktau...

Room Tip: Stay on the parking lot side if possiable, Air cons on pool side are loud...even on the 4th floor
