Sadly we only stayed here for one night instead of two. The room was very large with a double bed and single bed with tv and all tea and coffee making facilities. There was a damp patch on the ceiling waiting for decoration. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of floor space for my Border Collie and his bed. The staff were very friendly and the food was great.

Room Tip: Lovely room but be aware that they do have quiz night but it doesn't go late so you can still ge...

2 night weekend stay.

The experience was average, the room was ok, the decor as expected for an oldish building at this price. Some of the staff were friendly enough, but I can't say we were made to feel overly welcome by the owners/managers. .

The water pressure in our attic room was abysmal, you need to ask them to start to run a bath the day before you arrive.

Breakfast, at the weekend is between 9:00am - 10:00am. As we were leaving for an event at 8:00am Saturday morning, we were told to find breakfast en route, rather than any offer to leave anything out for us.

The restaurant food was ok, the breakfast was good but £7.95 or £9.95 for a bigger portion.

In all, an ok stay, wouldn't go back after seeing the alternatives locally.

Good food, helpful staff. Whole place and rooms very tired and needs some quality re-decoration throughout. A real shame as could be great. Room 10 appears not to have been fully decorated as walls appear to be unpainted plaster! Location good especially for access to New House events.
Local taxi firm New Forest Driving 07786036525 on time polite and helpful.

Great location, right on the edge of the New Forest and only a very short drive to Salisbury and Stonehenge. Well set out rooms with bar & restaurant. Plenty of on site parking. Good WIFI connection. Would recommend as base to explore the area.

Room Tip: Steep stairs but the attic room is very comfortable.

My partner and I stayed here in August for two nights
The place is a pub and a B&B and is located in a residential area...which is great as its quiet however there isnt much around, so you are a bit out of the way
We had the room at the top which was nice and cosy with a large ensuite bathroom
The food is great in the pub but be warned the portion sized are very generous. On the 2nd night I ordered rack of ribs.....no joke...it would have fed 4 adults...I only ate a fraction of it, it was actually offputting it was so big!
They do a nice range of beers and breakfast in the morning was good although there can be a bit of a wait
Wifi was iffy and not really working, so not ideal if you are a business person and need internet
Overall we had a lovely 2 nights here and would stay again

We arrived a little later than expected, and we told that the kitchen closed at 9pm, and we had to order our dinner before we were shown to our room.
We were in the twin room (room 10) up in the roof level. Blimey the room was hot! There is no air con, or fan, so the only thing to do is to open the window. The beds were firm, which was fine by me. The en-suite was tiny and had seen better days and could do with a make-over.
Dinner was very tasty, and it would be worth eating here even if you aren't staying.
Sleep was very broken. A dog barking next door didn't help, and the heat in the room was crazy!
Breakfast was OK and they were happy to accommodate my friend's dietary needs.
Would I stay here again? Maybe, but just for the one night...
