Best Italian restaurant in UK. Enough said... Excellent service, great food and super wine. From start to finish service was spot on.

Excellent fine dining Italian Restaurant. Warm welcome by engaging staff with excellent wine list and varied quality menu. Lovely atmosphere with some dishes cooked at the table. Book well in advance to avoid dissapointed. No groups over 8 persons on Friday and Saturday which is very wise. Car Park with disable bay by main enterance. This restaurant is well in the running for a Michelin Star. Instantly booked again for two weeks time, only wish it were closer to Hastings!

Deep in the Weald of Kent is the pretty so-English village of Lamberhurst - and un piccolo angolo d'Italia (that's a little corner of Italy!). The food is excellent (don't miss the mushroom and dolcelatte soup), the wine list includes a particularly good Gavi di Gavi, the service by Giacomo and Daniela and their team is friendly and attentive, the dining room is spacious, a pianist tinkles away some evenings, and the prices are reasonable. Only complaint: why not allow one person at the table to have the set lunch (about £20) when the others want to order a la carte?

Had been recommended to visit this restaurant and we will return. Very good choices on menu for £15 for two courses-starter and main- beautifully cooked by enthusiastic staff. Sweets and cheese are extra from attractive trolley. Wine not expensive
