“Good stopover on the route south”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and comfortable accommodation. We stayed here for one night on our long journey back from Provence. Good location just north of Beaune on the D974 at Chorey Les Beaune. We had a suite in the pavilion at the back of the hotel so very quiet, with nice terrace outside the room. Large garden with pool. Access on foot from the back of the garden into the village and vineyards. Eating in the restaurant was a lovely experience with good food and a nice relaxed atmosphere. The hotel is family friendly. There is a beautiful aspect from the front of the hotel (although the road is a little busy) and sunset over the vines is spectacular. We would definitely stay again.

What can we say...Nicholas and Clemence were perfect hosts for our dream visit to Burgogne at their lovely Ermitage, located right on the Route de Grand Cru between Dijon and just north of Beaune. They work very hard and it shows. Proud owners for the past 5 years or so, this young couple has made this Inn well worth a visit when you are visiting Beaune or the Burgundy region. From the moment we pulled in and were greeted by smiling Nicholas, we felt welcome and at home. A bit nervous about our poor Francais speaking skills, his excellent English quickly put us at ease. Our garden pavilion suite was spacious, bright, and airy with views of the famous vineyards from every window (even the bathroom window!) Decor was charming, modern and comfortable. I think we could have stayed for weeks! Lovely bath products and other touches like in-room coffee and tea made it extra nice. The wifi worked great, too. Dinner at their beautiful dining room was superb. As the sun set over the vineyards, we enjoyed a truly world class gourmet meal from start to finish. The skilled sommelier not only helped us select a amazing wine, but she patiently taught me how to pronounce it: Chambolle-Musigny! Turns out that wine is one of Clemence's favorites, as well. Breakfast includes some wonderful fresh breads, meats and fruit, as well as great cafe au lait. A great way to start your day of winery touring. They have a spacious back yard with a nice in-ground pool but it was a bit too chilly to swim. The Burgogne wine region boasts some phenomenal wineries that should not be missed. Don't miss the tonnelerie, as well, where they make oak barrels. And when you visit be sure to stay at the Ermitage. Cannot wait to go back soon!

Our family of five stayed here and enjoyed the gracious hospitality and excellent cuisine. We would love to return in better weather to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor pool. Fabulous location near Beaune and Cote de Nuits.

My husband and I stayed here overnight on a sunday having driven from England. Its 5 hours from the tunnel and just off the motorway. It was the most beautiful sunny warm evening and the hotel faces west overlooking vineyards and rolling hills in the distance. They have a big carpark with gates that close at night. The hotel is just off the busy Droad but we heard no noise in our room.I really like the young couple who run this hotel - they are efficient friendly and helpful. The husband helped with our wine choice which was simply delicious. There are comfortable chairs to sit outside in the evening sun with an aperitif. We were on the half board basis. There were 2 menus with 2 choices of each course.I prefer this rather than a very extensive menu as each course was so thoughtful and beautifully prepared .This is superior food.
Our renovated room was large and comfortable with air conditioning. There was a buffet breakfast, the coffee was excellent .We could have had eggs but only
Realised after.I would have liked more choice of bread at breakfast .The homemade yogurt was delicious. We will definitely visit again

We stopped on our way back to England from Italy. What a find! Most helpful staff and a superb Dining Room, with true Gastronomic fare. Easily accessed from the Motorway, Very nice size room with a calm outlook across vineyards. We will certainly return and stay more than overnight as there is much to explore in the heart of Bourgogne.

Room Tip: We had very spacious room No.104 which had a separate sitting area and patio. Large bathroom with bo...

It's always a joy to return. the staff are attentive and helpful. The rooms in the hotel are large and comfortable. The food is very good, and the female sommelier is very helpful.

I attended a conference in Lyon and wanted to retreat to burgandy before returning to the U.S. After researching the alternatives (thank you Trip Advisor), my wife and I selected this hotel. We were not disappointed. The room was large and luxurious, overlooking vineyards. The staff was quite friendly. The hotel is located just a few meters from the Aloxe Corton wine area. Other famous domains are just a few kilometers away. We were highly satisfied with our experience here and in the region. One word of caution, though. The hotel does not have an elevator, so be prepared to carry your bags up a flight or two.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the vineyards. The front of the hotel faces a fairly bu...

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your comments about the room (just been renovated) and the staff.

Unfortunately, we can’t install an elevator in the building but we are more than happy to carry your baggages up and down as we offered you to do. Do not hesitate: we know what it is to travel and our staff is here to give you assistance and make you feel like at home!

We are glad you could enjoy all the great domains of Burgundy located so close from our hotel and we are looking for ward to welcome you again soon,

Best regards,

Nicolas Chambon
