Possibly the most enjoyable vacation destination of all the Caribbean islands we have visited. The hotel was under renovation but that did not hinder in any way a very enjoyable two week stay. We were in Brimstone House (#3). The entire staff could not have been more accommodating in every way. From check-in on July 29 until check- out on August 12, everything was sheer perfection. The room was clean, spacious, beautiful in every way. Any request was handled immediately and with graciousness. Daily activities couldn't have been more organized or more fun. Pools and on-site restaurants and beaches were gorgeous, clean, and spacious. We look forward to returning to The Marriott Vacation Club in Frigate Bay in the near future, for sure. It became, in 2 weeks time, our home away from home. Love this place; love these people, every one of them.

Traded our week in Aruba for St Kitts this year, what a good change. The resort is going through some renovations but there are plenty of services and the staff is great. The cabs on the island are clean, the drivers will point out everything on your trip and the price is very fair (unlike St Thomas). There is a lot to see and do around the island. The only down fall for us was the fact that this time of year there is plenty of seaweed washing up on shore. Cab drive said that this happens about 3-4 weeks every year. That was the only downfall we found, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a short walk to the strip area. Would recommend the St Kitts Beach Club to anyone. We will be back.

We have been MVC members for over 20 years. This is my first bad review of a property. We had a ground floor villa that was supposed to be oceanfront but any view of the water was blocked by a seawall. We chose this resort for its beach and water activities. This beach literally had 3 feet deep and 30 feet in from the shoreline of seaweed that smelled like sea life rotting in the 100 degree heat (which it was). The beach was essentially closed and not usable whatsoever, not to mention the smell which was so overwhelming that we became physically ill to step outside our villa or leave the door open at all. We were given NO notice of this before we spent $3500 and a day to fly to this remote location. Even when we checked in we were not notified that there was a serious problem with the property. In addition, on the seawall in front of our villa was a spiderweb about 25 feet long and 2 high filled with dead bugs, and on the ground were 100s of holes in the ground where the tarantulas lived. I can only assume the place would be crawling with them at night. The grounds were bare, no flowers or bushes or color - it looked like a desert. The pool had old chairs and plain pools with no features. Not one person was on the beach. No manager was available to talk with us. There were no other hotels available on the island. I understand a new Hyatt will be opening soon. After several calls to MVC, who was not willing to assist us at all with finding other accommodations, we contacted the Four Seasons on a neighboring island and chose to spend our week there after already paying full points for the MVC week. After being MVC members for over 20 years, we have still not been called back for resolution of this matter. We are very disappointed in Marriott and are questioning our investment with this company completely. If you don't think seaweed could be that bad...check out my pictures!

Room Tip: First floor room views of ocean are blocked by a sea wall.

My wife and I just spent seven (7) days at the Marriott Vacation Club, St. Kitts Beach Club. We were in the Palmetto building with an ocean side view. The staff were super friendly and provided outstanding service for us during our week. This is a huge compound that consisted of about 29 buildings. Within the compound you will find a casino, restaurants, hotel, fitness center, and timeshare villas. In addition, there are (3) pools located on the compound. The Main pool, North Pool, and South Pool. There are two concierges, one is for the hotel residences and the other is for vacation club residences. There were various activities for kids and adults on the compound. For example, balloon creation, corn hole tournament, pool volleyball, yoga, horseshoes, and body scrub. There are cabanas and chairs on the beach for hotel and vacation club guests at no charge. Also, there is a masseuse on the beach if you want a massage for about $60.00 US dollars. If, you wanted to explore the island there are various forms of transportations which can get you around the island. For example, rental cars, tour buses, and taxis. We used a taxis driver, who also served as our tour guide during our stay. Leroy Jones was his name. Mr. Jones was very knowledgeable about the history and the culture of St. Kitts, starting from the 1400s to the present. When Mr. Jones was not available one of his associates stepped in as our tour guide. We had a wonderful stay and will return next year.

Room Tip: Ask for the Westbury or Palmetto Buildings with a higher floor.

Had a good time at these well appointed Marriott villas. Ours was a two bedroom which was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities one might need. The villas are part of the hotel complex which I don't mind at all as it gives you more access to restaurants, pools etc. The hotel looks to be a bit older than the villas and the lobby was being renovated. but not really a problem. Although we got there a bit early we had to wait well past 4 o'clock to get our room which ended up in the Camp Bay house. Good location between the main pool and the south pool. Somehow the housekeeping supervisor Shauna found us the next morning, apologized for the delay with the room and gave us a bottle of wine - nice touch.
This being off season there was never a problem with getting pool chairs even though there were plenty of people around. The pool chairs are somewhat unique as each has it's own shade device which negates fighting over who gets to sit beneath an umbrella.
Had dinner at the Calypso restaurant in the hotel which was fine. A big plus is the pizza hut at the pool which serves takeaways from noon to late at night. There are the usual high quality barbeque grills throughout the complex
We saw no need to rent a car as taxis are prolific with the prices regulated by the local government. Used the local IGA and Rams markets. Almost had a heart attack at the prices until we finally realized they were in EC#'s not US$. Did a taxi tour of the Island and took the ferry to Nevis for yet another taxi tour. Could of skipped that part and just visited the Hamilton House which is suspiciously conveniently located adjacent to the pier.
All in all a great week with great weather.
