I had some apprehension about this trip do to the poor feedback on the staff, however everyone we encountered was fun, pleasant and helpful. the rooms were clean, cool and comfortable. We enjoyed the island tour. The swim up bar at the is a blast and the staff offer fun games for adults. We had fun at the casino as well. The steak restaurant was a little busy and pricy but the food was good. really enjoyed the spa.

We are owners here and this was our 5th trip. All I can say is WOW! We noticed a tremendous improvement all around - cleanliness, customer service and attention to detail.
Check in was a breeze. We had stopped at the market near the airport on our way in, and were the only ones checking in. The unit was spotless and the bellman cheerfully showed us around.
On the few occasions that we needed to call the desk (towels, a light bulb), our request was handled promptly and we received a return follow up call.
We spent most of our days at the timeshare pool and it felt like our private oasis. It was cleaned daily and we saw no sign of debris.
Our one meal on site was the special Monday night at Blu. We loved the lobster and the salad bar was great.; It was a very good value.
My husband and brother-in-law played 3 rounds of golf on a very quiet, well-maintained course.
Other meals were at Rock Lobster, Ciao, Serendipity, Cathy's BBQ and the Pavilion.
We also spent a most enjoyable day at Carambola Beach Club with an amazing lunch. Get here early if there are ships in town, it can get full very early.
It appears that a great effort has been made by Marriott to up their standards and it shows. There were smiles and warm greetings from everyone -, the hotel staff, shopkeepers, casino staff, etc.
Over the years we have had concerns, but this time it was absolutely perfect and we cannot wait to return.

Room Tip: We always have an oceanfront villa.

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving week stay at the Marriott. I read many reviews prior to our trip and was a little concerned due to some of the negative comments. Once at the resort, it didn’t take us long to draw the conclusion that some people won’t ever be happy. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the resort. Yes, the prices are high…but they are consistent with every other vacation destination we’ve visited (Cabo, Aruba, Cancun…). The wind is constant so it’s unrealistic to think you shouldn’t find a leaf in the pool. The staff makes considerable efforts at keeping things clean and sprucing up the resort. There was constant action trimming trees, mowing grass, fixing tiles, remodeling bathrooms, cleaning the beach, cleaning pools (early a.m. before anyone was using the pool), etc. Our unit was pretty clean. The air conditioner did stop working one day and I contacted someone to fix it. They were already working on it and had it fixed sometime during the day. The temperature is always warm so it made sense to me that the a/c units would occasionally malfunction.

We thought the staff was always helpful. The check-in process was excellent and any additional questions or help we needed was addressed efficiently (Thank You Vidal). The men that helped with our bags during the check-in and check-out process were excellent.

There is a small grocery store within walking distance (roughly 2-3 blocks). The prices are fairly high but it saves the travel expense of going into town for a full size grocery store. We took a taxi to the full size Ram’s on the 2nd day to load up on groceries for the week. The selection wasn’t the greatest but I think it’s because we were there a day or two before their shipment came in. Whenever we asked anyone for the best grocery store, we got a different opinion. So, I can’t give a strong suggestion.

The Marriott has a marketplace for basic supplies. The local beer (Caribe) cost around $18 for a six pack. They did have Bud Light and some other American beers but they were much more expensive. There is also a duty free shop that sells beer/liquor. The prices were much less than the marketplace but the selection wasn’t always the greatest. I got tired of the Caribe beer after a few days.

There is a nice coffee shop/restaurant (Rituals) a short walk from the resort. They have great breakfast options at a reasonable price. Once I found the place, I didn't miss a morning stopping there.

There is a little pizza shack near the pool that sells extremely greasy pizzas for $14 Cheese + $2 per topping. They also have salads and ice cream. There is also a bar/restaurant next to the pool. We ate there a few times for lunch/dinner. You can expect all the basics (burgers, chicken, fries, etc.). Again, prices will seem high but they are typical to any other vacation resort.

Their happy hour at the pool was after the sun disappeared behind the buildings. There was only one night I saw a younger group partying during Happy Hour. There is a Vet school in the area and those that stay at the Marriott residences get use of the resort. So, you’ll see a lot of students studying around the pool.

The pool is shallow but perfect for cooling off. The ocean is great. There are protective rock walls for those that don’t like the waves. The sand is perfect and there aren’t many rocks. My 11 yr old daughter wanted to stay in the ocean the entire trip.

It will rain occasionally but usually doesn’t last long. There was one afternoon that a storm lasted for over an hour. I spent most of that time in the ocean with my daughter (just rain…no lightning or thunder).

We enjoyed the resort and the island. We will likely return.

Room Tip: We stayed in a 3 bedroom. All 3 bedrooms are on the 3rd floor (no stairs).

We had a wonderful time in St Kitts. This resort was a great choice. Located where you are able to see the mountains and ocean. The citizens are willing to share the history of St. Kitts. The sister island Nevis was another treat. Make sure you tour both islands on your visit. Food was good. I have another review posted with pictures. St. Kitts is a beautiful island.

My wife and I were treated to the very best Staff, property as well as the warm and friendly people of St. Kitts, British West Indies. What a wonderful Island, I can't stress that enough! Unlike a lot of the resorts cities, every time you turn around they have their hand out expecting a tip for opening the door for you. The staff at the Marriott are extremely warm, courteous, and very helpful. When you arrive, you will find staff members such as, Caulton Buchanan and Craig James, to provide you with the most outstanding service to insure that you have a wonderful arrival and departure experience. They will never ask for a tip, however they earn their tips, and truly appreciate your sharing with them regardless of the amount. When you at the check in desk you will be given a heartfelt welcome from the staff members such as Vidal Arbon. WOW.

The resort itself is a piece of paradise. It's like stepping into wonderful dream where just a few steps from your very spacious and wonderful condo, is not only a swimming pool, but a beautiful deep blue Atlantic Ocean where you can snorkel just feet from the shoreline and see the most beautiful fish and creatures of the Atlantic.

You can drive around the entire Island in a 2 to 4 hours, yet there is quite a bit to do. Visit the old Fortress, The Black Rocks, and the Old Sugar Cane Plantations. Then lay back and enjoy the great low humidity weather and grab some sun rays on the beach. I did not want to leave!

ENJOY
Marvin

We stayed at the St. Kitts Marriott Beach Club the week of Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful experience. My wife and four children stayed in a two bedroom villa. Usually we go to all inclusive resorts in Mexico. We often stay at Marriott properties in Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach. This resort is of similar quality to those properties. Anyone who complains about this resort is either comparing it to a high end all inclusive or the Four Seasons. The weather was great. Unseasonably windy. Any rain only lasts less than 15 minutes and it clears up. The water is beautiful. The beach is well taken care of and seats are plentiful.

The airport is small. Flight options are somewhat limited. We found direct flights out of JFK in NY.

Transportation on the island worked out great. We were lucky enough to get The Original "Anthony Bell" as our driver from the airport to the resort. We ended up using him all week. He knows everyone everywhere. His prices are reasonable. He always arrived when we asks him to. He took us on a 3 1/2 hour tour of the island. He took us to a grocery store our second day. The store was Best Buy (grocery store). Anthony can also offered to deliver us cases of Carib beer for $27 a case. They sell them for $2.00 a beer at the hotel duty free. Beer at the pool bars are around $4-6. There is also a small grocery store only a 10 minute walk from the resort it is called RAMS. Rams is a little more expensive than Best Buy but it is quick and easy with no transportation costs so it evens things out.

We brought frozen meat (chicken, hamburgers and hotdogs, meatballs). These were great for cooking in. We also brought canned food and boxed cereal and mac n cheese. Bring what you can because the meats taste different in St. Kitts. American Airlines allows one checked bag per person. So with six of us traveling we did 2 bags of groceries. Saved us lots.

The staff at the hotel and all of the people on the island are so friendly and happy to have tourists there. The crime rate is very low. So we have never felt safer traveling internationally.

We would go back to St. Kitts and this resort in a minute.

Another bonus is the lack of bugs. I didn't see any mosquitoes or even flies the whole week at the resort. The only place I saw mosquitoes was at the Spice Mill restaurant on a rainy evening. it is kind of on the other side of the island over some mountains. It is about 20 minutes away and is a really nice restaurant.

St. Kitts is beautiful and this resort is no exception...had a wonderful weekend stay here a few weeks ago. Everyone is friendly and this resort has lots of amenities: 4 pools, on a great huge beachfront, casino, and huge golf course. Lots of restaurants to chose from right on property. It is worth your time to visit!! You can't go wrong!
