“Avoid a cab ride and stay on property to eat”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

Nice restaurant on the Marriott property with good service. Pretty view of the ocean but nothing to see once it gets dark so go early and ask for table along the windows. We had the shrimp tempura as an appetizer which was good and my husband ordered the pan-seared snapper and I had the mahi mahi, both large portions. The seafood was above average, just not the best we have ever had. The meal was served with a basket of bread and butter and a mixed fish spread and they offered to refill it. We had the apple dome for dessert which was good. We had drinks before we came so we just drank tap water and our bill was $104 which we thought was reasonable based on large portions. When you factor in you didn't have to take a cab to eat there, we definitely would recommend eating here if staying on property.

“Blu Review for You”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Restaurant Blu, is the romantic evening, island dress up kind of place you can enjoy, as well as to entertain and business dine in a quiet elegant setting.
If you are traveling to St. Kitts I would reach out early and grab a reservation early if you planning on a weekend in season.
Greetings were as with most other St. Kitts fine dining establishments, and just about everywhere else on the island, warm friendly and genuine.
Wait staff is well versed and unrushed in their nightly offerings and the Chef’s imagination on plating brings it all to the experience.
During a short stay at the Marriott Resort we actually ate there twice it was so nice. One night just apps and wine, the other a full meal.
If you don’t plan on a full meal, at least go for a glass of wine (great wine list) and an order of the Tempura Shrimp app. It’s worth your time.
For the full meal I had their Grilled Lobster, it was plated nicely and had a good flavor. My Bride had a tuna steak. Sorry to say this was way overcooked and all the way through making it a bit tough.
Americans, remember you’re on “island time” so unless you ask for the check early, they will let you relax at your table for a time before bringing the check, so please don’t misconstrue that as slow service.

“Relaxing dinner on the patio”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

Nice menu, very friendly staff and reasonable wine list. Great patio for dining al fresco and right above the beach for a post-dinner stroll. Best ambiance of the dining options at the Marriott.

“Large group served well”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

We were 11 for dinner after business. The staff accommodated us well. Ordering wine from their list was a challenge. Some wines were not available, their substitutions were not even close eg. Zinfandel for Merlot. It took a few tries. The starters were good. Fish in bouillabaisse was delicious. I had the portobello stack which was tasty and filling. Other group members enjoyed their salads and lobster and mahimahi entrees. Too sated for dessert.

“Good food”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

If you are tired, you can stay at the hotel and get some good food. We ate on the balcony which can be windy but still nice. Prices were the same as the pavillion which had much better food but also includes an expensive taxi ride. If you can afford the taxi ride or have a car, go out to dinner.
