This restaurant was a blessing after a long walk through the National Park Garajonay we took. Nice and friendly atmosphere, good food made from local products. Nothing fancy, but good, honest food. We loved the local cheese. Everything fresh. Also, if you sit on the terrace, you can enjoy amazing views of the valley. Just be prepared to show what you want on multi-language menu as the waiter spoke only Spanish.

The place to go when visiting Hermigua. Professionally prepared food and good service for a reasonable price.

We stumbled across this restaurant during one of our many tours of the island. It was a fantastic surprise: the food is great, simple and abundant with the freshest local ingredients. We still remember the grilled cuttlefishes and delicious avocado salad. But we also want to emphasize the friendliness of the owner who gave us useful suggestions for excursions and the amazing cleanliness of the bathroom. We really hope to come back!!!!

We have booked half board, when we booked Los Telares apartment, but we were informed, that the dinner will be served in the restaurant just 5min walk away. And, it was perfect! We had 4-cours dinner every day. All very good quality. The owner informed us, that we will have set menu every day and that he will informe us at the start about the dishes and if we can not eat anything, they will prepare other dish instate. On the first day we had beef steak- which was very fresh, and for desert- a cheese cream with a palm honey- it was amazing!!!!!!! one of the best deserts I have ever ate! The fish soup was very good too.
The place was spotless clean, the lady in the kitchen was wearing clean uniform with a hat and gloves- which sometimes can be hard to find during the trips, when while eating in the restaurants you see the kitchen staff in a dirty uniform, grisy hair, dirty nails....This restaurant could set an example to others.
The owner told us, that they run this restaurant 22 years and it was clear to us, that they have some sort of profesional education as the food there was too good to be made by a person, who simply have been cooking all her life.
We went to La gomera to do some trecking and belive me, we did need a good food after all day walk.
The owner was atentive and open for a chat. We were very happy with that place!

We had seen this restaurant as we entered Hermigua. At Los Teleras apartments (very good) we asked the owner to recommend us a local restaurant but strangely she didn't mention this one (until I asked about it, and she then said it was "OK") but sent us on what turned out to be a wild goose chase to "Molina" in Agulo village about 7km away - only to find it was closed for the season. She also recommended "Silbo" which was empty (at 8.30) and looked charmless and somewhat tacky. Also no wine-list, only local carafe wine. So we returned to Las Chacaras where we had a very good meal and an excellent choice of wines - the one I chose (not a Canarian) was especially good value at E11. Only negative - the owner/waiter was just barely friendly and - even though we were the only customers aside from some men at the bar - he was brusque and acted irritated (walking away and returning without apology) when we pondered over the menu and the wine.
