Stayed at The Haven while on a walking holiday with a friend. We had a spacious and very attractive twin bedded room with excellent views over Rothbury and the hills beyond. Although close to the centre of the village it is quietly and pleasantly situated. The front garden is a nice spor to relax and admire the views. Excellent breakfasts with a v aried choice including traditional breakfast, crab omelette and superb porridge with whiskey.

Also very handy for the NT house Cragside which is well worth a visit.

The B&B is a family run business and feels very welcoming and relaxed. Roz the owner is a great host and very easy to get on with - she gave us lots of 'insider tips' about tourist attractions in the areas and was very helpful.

The room was very well kept and had an amazing view of the village and surrounding valley. Luckily the weather was nice and clear so we had a view of the Cheviots and the Simonside Hills.

The breakfast provided was incredible. Homecooked food was on offer - the menu inclouded breakfast dishes such as a full English breakfast, pancakes, smoked salmon scrambled eggs and even crab omlete.
The eggs are so fresh and Roz was telling us that she collects them daily from the hens roaming around the bk garden - delicious.

We had a very relaxing, quiet trip. A big thank you to Roz and her family who made it extra special for us.

Turned up at The Haven after being let down by another B & B who knew nothing about our online booking despite taking our deposit. We are so glad they did. We were made very welcome at The Haven with a nice pot of tea and cake. Food, accommodation, facilities, setting were all fantastic. our hosts were friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful and it was a pleasure to get back after a hard days sight seeing. Unfortunately we had to cut short our stay for personal reasons but when we go back to Northumberland our first port of call will be The Haven

I took 9 clients to spend 2 days on a teambuilding workshop I ran at the Haven in Nov 2009.

They have not stopped praising the venue and the hospitality offered, saying it rates far better than the Hilton.

I need to know when taking clients to a venue that I can rely on the quality of the accomodation and food to deliver a first class experience. I have used the Haven for many years and they have always exceeded both my own expectations, and more importantly, the expectations of my clients.
