What a lovely afternoon spent on one of the warmest days of last year, we happened upon a wedding being held there, so it was great seeing all the wonderful outfits, after the wedding we went around the church and the house, a must see, one of the best days we had last year, and the sun was shining too!!

This place has to be my top thinking place. The most quiet beautiful spot in the county. Also I managed to get in free. (I knew the land owner there. I didnt sneak in)

Just really a half day excursion, but a short stroll from the carpark and suddenley there is this great large building just standing there. It is magnificent. A lovely architectural find. Lovley place to explore, there is a manor house next to it, which is lovley, wish I had the funds to restore it. The whole place is so well hidden from the road, obviously it was designed that way to safe guard the place all those centuries ago, but it is a lovely place to visit for a short excursion. Although on a hot day with a picnic I dare say I could spend hours there. Well worth a visit. It is seasonal so check with the website opening times.

After a short walk from the car park you arrive at the Priory which has been completely re-roofed and restored. There is also a manor house next door which can be explored.
