We'd visited before and we were certainly not going to Rothbury without visiting again. Even in these austere times it had a good flow of customers in and out, all seemingly happy with their lot.

It is an eating experience in this great little tea room/cafe. The menu is full of wonderful choices from speciality teas and coffees to gorgeous homemade cakes, via Thai fishcakes, gammon steaks and salads. I daren't list everything on offer - I'll be here all week!

The gift shop within the tea room has a good range of items and I really wish Vicky would stop selling jewelry - well, my bank manger would like it. She has extended her ranges on offer and the prices will suit everybody. I bought a beautiful peacock bracelet, much admired by friends and family here at home, and a lovely vase. I would have bought a larger, floor standing vase but the thought of our border collie wiping it out with his tail and turning it in to mosaic was not a pretty picture in my mind.

This is a very successful family business. The teamwork shows. Ron, Cath and Vicky use their individual strengths to ensure you will never forget your visit. Cath is a fantastic cook and Ron and Vicky take and deliver customer orders in a very friendly and hospitable way. Nothing seems too much, which in this day and age is wonderful to see.

We love going back to Harleys. We went both at the beginning and end of our holiday this time, and there is no doubt we will be going back again when we visit Rothbury again.

Thank you for being such caring hosts. See you again. XXXXX

Our second visit to harleys tearoom and i would agree with every ones positive comments about harleys cannot see any negative ones, nice place and friendly staff good food and they top up your coffee and tea no problem.
If you go to rothbury the main road is closed and will be for a long time the locals say, no money to fix it at the moment etc etc.
Follow the detour sign you will go for miles without another sign but in the end you will see a sign to direct you to rothbury via cragside, harleys is just before you go over the bridge to the car park.
The locals say the detour puts a extra four miles on the trip.
So give harleys a try

Had tea and quiche in this lovely tea room, with very friendly staff on hand to help with choices.
Very tasty quiche came with salad and a choice of chips or baked potato, although I just stuck to the salad. A good selection of light meals and drinks on the menu and there is a gift area to one side of the shop.

If you don't know Harley's is in Rothbury it is easy to miss - but worth the time to find it! (Its on Bridge Street).
Its a great place for morning coffee and tea cake; wonderful for lunch with a full menu from sandwiches to a 3 course meal; or afternoon tea and cake. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is fresh with a great home make touch.
If your in Rothbury put this into your day - you will not be disappointed; except Wednesday & Thursday when they are closed.
We have eaten here regularly over the last year and recommend it to friends and family regularly.

This is a delightful, friendly, licensed popular cafe/tea room which serves a good variety of cakes & hot and cold food. Since my first visit a few years ago I never eat anywhere else when visiting Rothbury. It's always been busy when I've been there which is a good sign; it seems popular with locals and visitors alike and Rothbury is a great location for exploring Coquetdale and the surrounding countryside.
