Rented one of the apartments, 2 beds, overlooking the sea and it gave a great view of the area. The weather was great, even the locals wanted a bit of rain and a bit cooler, but sunshine all the way. Los Gigantes as an area is very nice, local people and a lot of timeshare/ ex pats in the area. This makes it a bit more interesting than some parts of the Island of Tenerife where 'tea like Mum' makes and Indian restaurants adorn the locale. (Go to Los Americas if this is your bag). Lots of locally owned restaurants within walking distance and plenty of choice. You can eat Canarias specialties, Chinese, (No MSG used, thanks) Fish, meat, vegetarian. Prices are good. Unfortunately you also in some bars/restaurants have to suffer tribute acts and singers who failed the first audition of X Factor. Why do so many holidaymakers need to have this background din while trying to talk? The restaurants we used ranged from £7.50 for 3 courses to a starter and main for about £20 but this was for freshly prepared, cooked and served with a pleasant and grateful manner for using their restaurant. More details of the places we used in another review. The Harbour Club is almost in the centre of the town, the colour of dark terracotta is a bit oppressive but it does make it stand out from the more traditional white/beige colours. Good pool and never full, child’s pool also. They had a restaurant on site but it served English 'favourites' of pie, roast beef etc. so we didn't use it. It was well supported by what I would call an older crowd. The apartment we had, and it seems no rooms have air-condition, and this made it difficult to sleep at night as it was so hot. You can hire a portable air con unit but why should you have to? The same goes for the internet where they charge 4 euros an hour. Does it really cost that much for the complex? Back to the apartment. Main bedroom a good size and the bed was large. The 2nd bedroom was adequate, but a bit small; no draw space but a good size wardrobe. The bed was a bit small, linked beds, and not very comfortable. The place sleeps 6 as there is a bed settee in the lounge but the bathroom would struggle to keep 6 guests happy trying to get showers or use the loo when they wanted rather than getting in line. I used the public loos in the complex when things got a bit desperate as they were just a few metres away. So all in all? Yes I would stay again, the staff were friendly, clean public areas, linen and towels changed twice a week...More
