If you're on a budget then you can get decent, very simple food here. We were here on a Friday and my husband had the goat stew made every Thursday and Friday by the mother of one of the waiters. This was a simple rustic stew served with canarian potatoes and it was pronounced absolutely delicious, and excellent value at €8. I had the Pollo al ajillo - again very simple food, very garlicky and delicious chips and side salad. What more could you want for €7.50?
As for the waiters, one of them is rather grumpy and unsmiling, but the other was very friendly and pleasant. Don't come for a gourmet experience, but sheer value for money.
