We have just returned from a 1 week stay and we had a marvellous relaxing time at this hotel. From the moment we arrived we where greeted with friendly smiles and this continued all week, not one grumpy face . Reception staff lovely, restaurant staff very attentive and friendly . We where on the 3 rd floor and had a lovely view of the harbour. The rooms where spotless and had tea, coffee and even a carton of milk provided . Large walk in shower with rainfall shower. The hotel and resort was very quiet as it was end of season but no queues for meals or drinks. Short bus ride to Mahon if you want something a bit livelier. Will certainly return to this hotel.

Room Tip: We had room on 3rd floor with sunset view and still had lovely view of harbour. Got sun late after...

My husband and I stayed here for a week of rest, relaxation and reading in September. Excellent find I have to say by him and would highly recommend this hotel - all the staff were of the highest quality nothing was ever too much trouble. Great to be able to be only 20 minutes or so from the airport!! Breakfasts were a feast and cater for absolutely all tastes and sets one up for the day! 1st visit to Menorca and will definitely will be returning - loved it!!

Room Tip: Would recommend one looking over the sea!

Stayed at the hotel for a week ending 19th October 2013.
The hotel was excellent in every aspect - clean, good food and amenities.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The location was excellent in that we used the local bus to visit a number of other towns and villages on the island of menorca.
Finally, the view from the balcony was breathtaking of the sea and surrounding countryside.

Room Tip: Would favour a sunrise bedroom on the third floor.

We booked this hotel as a Jet2 holiday package, having done our research and deciding that this hotel was our best option for a week's stay in Menorca. The hotel certainly lives up to its reputation and the staff would get 6 stars as they make you feel so welcome; they are warm and friendly without being intrusive, and it was a pleasure to relax on the terrace, enjoying the harbour views without being constantly asked if we wanted something from the bar. You are guaranteed a peaceful, quiet relaxing stay, as the hotel is adults only. We were not expecting any evening entertainment so it was a pleasant surprise that on three of the evenings there was a band with a singer out on the terrace. The food was excellent on the Saturday Menorcan night with specially recommended local wines and it was very good throughout the rest of the week with plenty of choice of meats and seafood. There was less choice for vegetarians but there was a different option each evening, and always a great selection of cheeses. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a fabulous rainfall shower. Although our booking was for a sunset view room as standard we were actually given a side view room, but this was fine as the bedroom did not get too hot as it did not receive direct sunshine throughout the day (as some rooms did) and we still had a view of the harbour. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the bus stop into Mahon (buses every half hour) and about 15 minutes walk to the picturesque harbour of Es Castell, surrounded by bars and restaurants. It was possible to take a water taxi direct from Es Castell harbour to the fort or to the island, without having to go into Mahon. We are definitely planning to return to the Carlos III.

Room Tip: Our side view balcony never got the sun as it was north facing, so if you want the sun on your balco...

Came to the hotel with my Mum for a rest and catch up on October 12th,Arrived early morning and did not expect to go to our room until the afternoon, so it was a nice suprise that our room was ready straight away. We had room 312 which was spacious and the view from the balcony was breathtaking! We were made so welcome and all the staff could not do enough for us. Food was good, with plenty of choice. (Mum loved the champagne with breakfast, me too).. Es Castell is lovely to walk round and we did try different bars and restaurants during the day, all very good. will be taking my husband next year.

Room Tip: Room 312 was spacious with fantastic view, and sunrises.

We returned on Monday after staying at Carlos III for a week. The hotel is immaculately clean, very comfortable rooms and the staff are all very friendly and professional. The food in the restaurant is excellent with loads of choice and all of the highest quality.

As the weather was quite good we breakfasted on the terrace four out of the seven days and had one evening meal outside as well. The views from the terrace are spectacular, it became addictive viewing both from the terrace and also from our balcony.

The resort of Es Castell is quiet and a mixture of British and Spanish however it is very pretty with some lovely bars and restaurants.

All in all marvellous holiday, can't wait to return.

Sue and Dennis Johnson, West Midlands.

This hotel certainly ticks all the boxes and is a real gem, as we discovered on our recent holiday to Es Castell.
We were made to feel so welcome and knew we were going to be very happy from the moment we arrived. All the staff are very friendly.
The bedrooms are light and airy, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space, and girls, there is a full length wardrobe for those maxi dresses! How refreshing to be offered tea/coffee making facilities abroad as well!
The dining room opens out to a lovely open air terrace for those romantic candlelit evenings. There is a vast array of choice both at breakfast and dinner, and the food is very good quality. We also had several lunchtime snacks, and can thoroughly recommend the homemade burgers!
Everywhere is spotless and smells so clean.
We will definitely be back.
