Having got a bit bored with the Hotel food ,we wandered down to check out the local bars and were quite taken with the menu at Irenes, especially the 'Menu of The Day'
My deep fried King Prawns arrived with heads on but otherwise peeled and were really crispy and very tasty whilst my wife loved her avocado salad .
This was followed by roast lamb done 2 ways for her and was to die for whilst I ordered the John Dory fish dish cooked to perfection and as this was washed down by a bottle of house wine accompanied by some excellent bread ,I thought the cost per head of 18 euros represented really good value .
