“Good value for money”
Reviewed August 1, 2013 via mobile

Recently went here with my wife, good value overall. The hotel is clean and yes the food is basic but enough for price paid. The location is a bit out of the way but a quick walk to the beach and bars offers a nice relaxing getaway. The local bus will take you to more lively places if required.

This hotel was lovely, I went for a week with my friend for a relaxing break and that's exactly what I got, the hotel is big and clean and in a really nice spot with gorgeous views. The staff are all very friendly and kind, our room was a twin bed room and was a really great size. The air con was a life saver after spending all day in the intense heat of the sun, the bathroom was perfect, they even had little toiletry sachets. For the price we paid the hotel really was fabulous, the pool looks really small in the pictures but is actually pretty big and deep, although the sun loungers do get taken pretty fast, so you wanna get down there pretty early, like between 10-11.

The all inclusive deal was great, food and drinks all the time and all really nice dishes with lots of choice. Cocktails in the evenings too, there really was nothing you could fault the food on. The position of the hotel is lovely, there is a mini beach (black like all of them) just opposite, and to the left of the beach, there is a nice rocky area where you can safely jump into the sea, the sea is beautiful and crystal clear, you have to be careful when the sea is a bit rough though, as there are no lifeguards to watch this area. For a guarded beach, it is a 5 minute walk to a larger man made beach which is quite busy.

There is nightlife if that's your thing, nothing massive, just local bands and a festival sort of feeling, going on till early hours (not heard from our room). Few touristy shops, with CHEAP tobacco and other bits. Local shop just across the way for any little bits you need.

Only NEGATIVES I can come up with, is one waiter became a little too close for comfort and started coming on to me very strongly, so young ladies be aware. It is quite a way from the airport, which can be exhausting after a longish flight. The beds are fine but I found a little small (had a single, and may be too used to my luxury double at home). Not enough sun loungers when it's busy, which I didn't really have an issue with as we were down at the sea so much. Oh, wifi is NOT included, I had to pay 25 euros for the week, which I felt was overpriced.

HIGHLY recommend this place for a cheap relaxing holiday!

Room Tip: You can request a room with a view, it definitely would be worth it! Twin room was lovely.

Just got back from a 7 night all inclusive stay... Met some great staff and people, it is situated in a quiter end of the island but there's still plenty of things to do. This is a great hotel - very clean, large rooms and fantastic food! Pool area is too small, there isn't much space really, sunbeds squeezed together.

I went as a group of four girls. 3 of us are 18 and one 19.
The hotel is smaller than hotels i am used to staying in Tenerife wise - before i have always stayed with Spring Hoteles. We got a really good deal as most people did and i dont really understand the majority of complaints as you do get what you pay for. the rooms were fantastic and we had maid service every day. we had two rooms on different floors because we had booked seperately but never had any problems. you do have to pay for television but the english channel flava is free - and we didnt come on holiday to watch telly! wifi also came at a cost of six euros a day but again this wasnt a necessity for us. my sister speaks fluent spanish and we found this very useful in and out of the hotel though staff do speak english. staff were helpful and the bar/waiting/entertainment staff were especially great. We knew the area was quiet as I have family who live in Los gigantes for half of the year. However, we found The Highland Paddy a short walk away (across from Playa La Arena beach) where there seemed to be quite a few people around our age group and we always had a good laugh there after taking advantage of the great all inclusive drinks until 11.
We also had a night out in Las Americas. We got the bus which is fairly frequent. This cost €3.90 which saved us loads! Taxi back was €35.
We used the bus service a lot and would recommend it to get to the following trips:
Siam park. €33 entry. Get the bus to las Americas bus station (€3.90) and a €3 taxi from there. A great day out but you can't take in your own food.
Boat trip on the Marina Princess Dos from Los Gigantes. €1.75 bus fare from outside the hotel then a ten minute walk to the harbour. We chose to go on this boat as it was €15 for two hours and Flipper Uno, the bigger boat, looked too crowded with no shade. We had a lovely time and we saw loads of dolphins and swam in a cove.
One of our group was a vegetarian but none of us were ever hungry. The food obviously isn't to Gordon ramsays standards but there's plenty of it. The hotel DOESN'T do packed lunches as most all inclusives do.
I would recommend this hotel but not for families necessarily and probably not for people my age who want a crazy party holiday, based on the hotels location.
:)

People who give this hotel a bad review are not being fair. You get what you pay for and to be honest, what you get at this hotel is well worth the money. People are judging the 4 stars that this hotel boasts and ok, it isn't a 4 * but the price of the holiday should be an instant give away. The hotel is clean, the staff are absolutely lovely and the drinks are definitely not watered down. The food can be a bit hit and miss but I think that is the same with a lot of All Inclusive hotels. There isn't a great deal to do locally but you can always find somewhere to walk out to. The entertainment in the evenings at the hotel was mainly good. However, the piano playing singer is definitely a room emptier lol Bless him. We had clean towels nearly every day and that was only because our cleaner forgot our rooms 3 times but reception soon sorted it. Our beds were changed regular but we never even got into them as it was too hot. We had a fantastic room on top floor and had 2 balconies from living room and 2 Juliet balconies in bedroom. We were on the side and our balcony was a real sun trap. We never saw any unpleasant insects and always found something to eat in the restaurant. These poor people are trying to cater for 4 different nationalities and you can't always get it right every time. You are paying 3* prices so as long as you expect 3* you'll have a great holiday. Met some lovely people there, Geoff and Kerry who stayed for 4 weeks and also Annette and Paul from Nottingham.

Room Tip: Top Floor rooms are brill for the sun

My partner and I ( late 20s) and our son (2) stayed here for a week

Bad points -
Limited sun loungers, once they're gone, tough luck
Food was bland, get used to eating chips daily
The toaster didn't work the entire time we were there, if u like jam and marmite take your own their jam is sugar free and its awful
Entertainment, can't comment as we were never able to get a table
Room door can't be locked from inside so kids can just pull the handle down and they're out
Sofa bed, couldn't b used as a bed had two planks of wood underneath as it was broken
There was cockroaches in the piano bar
WE HAD PROBLEMS WITH OUR WATER EVERY DAY, we were lucky if we all got washed before midnight it was a good day, there was no water pressure and it went cold very quick and we had 5 minute showers
The guy on reception (Edwardo?) was always out the back and we had to wait 15 minutes one night to ask him for loo roll (yes it was touch and go lol)
Pool is very deep and no lilos allowed
Good points -
Rooms were extremely clean ( and im a clean freak) and were cleaned daily and towels changed whenever we left them on the floor, bed sheets also changed daily
Rooms r lovely and spacious, so is balcony
Pool bar was self serve which was right up our street
Roof top was normally empty, just loungers and showers up there, we took our own music and drinks up there and had a lovely day
Restaurant staff were brilliant, always smiling and all the ball
Every now and again there was a nice bit of meat, and always plenty of fruit
We had pool and sea view from our balcony (227)

All in all we had a brilliant holiday, I wouldnt stay here again but we did really enjoy ourselves

If you can afford it go somewhere else
If you can't then prepare for a cold shower and enjoy yourselves

Would definitely recommend going to loro parque 33€ per adult the whales, dolphins and sea lions were out of this world, we rented a car for 37€ and it was well worth it, approx 1hr 20mins from hotel

And definitely recommend the water park. The four person ride is the best ride I've ever experienced, same price and about an hour from hotel

Both trips cost us about 10€ in petrol

Taxi would have been 40+€ each way

Hope this helps :)

The hotel itself is amazing. Good food, brilliant entertainment and friendly staff. Go all inclusive as drinks are available all day as well as snacks by the poolside.

The Location was very quiet with only one long strip of shops, which may be a problem for people with families who want to do more.

The hotel does provide information about trips in and around the area which are suitable for both adults and children.

Please note; there is only one adult swimming pool onsite and its minimum depth is about 5ft3, this may not be suitable for younger children (7-11) as the infant pool is not very deep.
