Don't miss this place if you are in Puerto de Santiago or in Los Gigantes. It is not posh restaurant, but an unpretentious authentic Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is friendly and buzzing. Julio will pick the right wine for you from his extensive wine supplies. They have fantastic selection from Canarian wines as well as Spanish and Italian ones. The food is lovely. Rustic Italian ingredients put together and cooked in traditional way by Paolo, he is Sardinian and runs the Pizzeria. Pizzas are perfect - much better I had in most places in Sardinia. Ravioli and tagliatelle pastas are homemade and delicious. Would recommend to finish the meal with tiramisu. Probably the best I've had so far. And of course a shot of homemade Limoncello. What else could you wish? An ice-cold jug of local beer and italian meat platter next afternoon. Simplicity and quality is the key and guys really love and know what they are doing. We were going back again and again. Thank you Julio and Paolo for your hospitality. You are the best. We will be back soon. Martin and Ieva

“The best meal we've ever had !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2014

We came to Puerto Santiago late evening and Domu Mia was the only full restaurant in the area, so we decided to try and we didn't regret it at all! Food was DELICIOUS, service, atmosphere was just excellent!! It is a MUST to go to Domu Mia if you are in Puerto Santiago or Los Gigantes!
The italian chef is the best cooker ever, I've eaten pastas, pizzas many time in Italy, but it was never so perfect as here!
We felt in love with Domu Mia, the tipical spanish cheerfull atmosphere and delicious italian kitchen!

“Not impressed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2014 via mobile

After reading all the good reviews we decided to try Domu Mia for a genuine Italian meal as so far in Los Gigantes we have only ever found Spanish and on one occasion a would you believe Chinese pizza maker!
Our first impression was to say the least not good, bright fluorescent lights are not what I expect to find in a "romantic" Italian restaurant however bearing in mind the good reviews we decide to overlook this and took the only available table -- Big mistake, to our left was a really nice English couple but opposite us were some locals obviously having some kind of personal fiesta smoking like chimneys and swigging beer out of bottles and shouting so loudly it was difficult to hear ourselves speak, but as they appeared to have finished their meal and it looked as if they might be leaving soon we stayed and ordered our meal, I ordered a calzone as I have found by experience fake Italian restaurants usually don't have that on the menu my wife had pasta with smoked salmon in a cream and vodka sauce which sounded delicious.
Both of these dishes where the worst we have ever had my calzone was flat not puffed up a it should be also the filling was simply a mishmash of cheese pepperone and passata not what I as a Brit of Italian descent expected it to be, as for my wife's pasta she declared it inedible!
To cap it all rather than leave our friends opposite welcomed another four guests in for whom the helpful waiter made room by shoving another table in.
All in all it was a complete disaster, in Spanish I say Nunca mas
Never again. That Chinese pizza in Ninos 2 in Puerto santiago was far superior!
