“Stands out from the rest”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

Always visit this restaurant at least twice in a fortnight when in Tenerife as it has proved to be so consistently good. Dishes have been thoughtfully selected to be different to the average in the area, the ingredients chosen with care and a skilled kitchen does the rest. Owner welcoming and an expert on the wines he stocks which again are a little different and whilst he has some big euro bottles if you want to splash out, most are around the 15 to 20 euro mark.
Worth noting if you want to share a starter or pudding not a problem just ask!

“Lovely”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Fantastic. I have the pleasure of enjoying this restaurant quite often as I live here. It's not your ordinary food which I love. Every restaurant you go to has mainly the typical things you find on every menu. BORING.
I've enjoyed plenty a meal here from a feta salad to pork cheek with chocolate sauce which sounds strange... But absolutely wonderful.
All lovely and fresh.
Huge selection of wine too.

Reviewed February 9, 2013

this is a fab restaurant..they do "wine tasteing day's" if you want to learn a bit more about wines this is the place. I go with family who live nearby. I have been lucky to have tryed a few of these intresting days..you get a full glass of wine with each course..not just a thimble full..But be warned you may need a lay down afterwards....

“Great food and wine. Good prices”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

"Cafe" is something of a misnomer. It is a proper restaurant, and an excellent one at that. The food is all freshly cooked. The fish had been delivered 20 minutes earlier and was superb. The pork cheek with a chocolate sauce was to die for. The owner who served us certainly knows his wines, and has a great selection on offer. The meal was perfection and the prices very reasonable especially given the standard of cooking. Not to be missed

“Fantastic find”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

We basically came here because we were tired from our trip and just wanted to eat somewhere close to our hotel (Playa La Arena). This place was fabulous! We sat outside on the patio which is a bit sunken so you don't get a real view.

For the appetizer, I had a pumpkin and blue cheese soup followed by chicken with sauerkraut. My husband had a wild squid appetizer and the steak and mushroom sauce.

It's a small place with a small menu but - with a small menu, they know how to make each dish well. Highly recommended.
