Despite not undertaking the Gorilla trek there was lots to see and do here at camp. I would recommend a visit to the nearby pygmie village for both the culture and the views. The food here was great and the drinks were reasonably priced, I would however order a little ahead of time. This place can get pretty packed out with overlanders and unfortunately management or security fail to control noise/behaviour so take your ear plugs if camping or staying in one of the rooms near the bar as bonfires can go on to the wee small hours not to mention a spot of skinny dipping.
Great staff, particulary young barman, Matthew - visit the orphanage he is involved with - Katungu or take your time to wander your surroundings.
Wifi is sketchy, particularly with a full house.More
