I didn't eat at the pub having just stumbled across it while out for a walk. This is a traditional town type pub with large open bar rooms, there is a restaurant area at the back but it's not intrusive. They had several good beers and the environment was very good. It's the kind of place where locals go but visitors are accepted readily. The barman was too formal for my tastes (he called me sir) but I'm sure that would change with a few visits. Lots of tables available in the bar area, sport on TV and a dart board in one bar.
