“Don't even think about it!”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

When one first goes into the hotel one gets the impression of a seedy establishment, the reception area having about a much character as an abandoned aircraft hangar. Being able to accommodate 5 or 6 coach parties as well as individual guests, and having 10 floors, if you arrive or want to leave at an unfortunate time, you can have a very long wait for one of the inadequate lifts.

My room was not quite as seedy as the reception area, but it still did not have much character, the bedside light switches were very inconveniently located. It would have been nice if the carpet would have been hoovered properly! Despite its proximity to the flight path of Heathrow, the triple glazing in my room ensured that I could not hear any aircraft noise at all.

The bed was worn out, hard and lumpy. I did not get a good night's sleep.

My evening meal was very nice and the restaurant staff most helpful.

Breakfast was an altogether different story. It took nearly 10 minutes to get into a lift. With seating for about 100 people in the restaurant, they allowed 5 coach parties, each with around 50 passengers, to eat breakfast at the same time. I waited around half an hour to get a seat in the restaurant, and it was Hobson's Choice as to who you finished up sitting next to. The choice and quality of the food was poor.

Charging extra for the WiFi was an insult.

I was glad to get out of the hotel.

told us how to find the Harley shoppe, train ride to London town across the street, grocery store across street, but I thought it reminded me of empty shelf stores in Soviet Russia. staff was very helpful. food was ok, not great. convenient

Room Tip: ok pricing, would not recommend a long stay.

I stayed on 20th May due to an unscheduled overnight stop at Heathrow caused by a delayed flight. There were many people looking for accommodation and I ended up accepting a room here booked via the British Hotel Reservations Centre at Heathrow. I was charged £250 for a twin room single occupancy. This was extremely poor value as the room was at best average. There were no luxuries - very few toiletries and no free wifi. The breakfast was disorganised and not very varied. I will never stay here again.

Situated perfectly for our two day stay in London. Comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good and the prices were reasonable. Would use again if we need to be that side of the city.

Room was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. It is not in central London, but it is next to a train station connected to the underground, only 10 to 15 minutes from London central underground stations, and of course you will take the underground here! Buy a onde day pass And with one single fare you can go to any station as many times as you want. The only thing that could be better in the hotel is the bed. Decoration is not fancy but who cares??? The hotel is nice and clean.

Room Tip: Cheaper than hostels if you are a couple traveling!

Booked through thorpe park. Requested via email a high floor room and on arrival were upgraded free of charge to a family suite on 10th floor. Room was huge! 8 miles from thorpe park.
Self service buffet breakfast which was average but nice.
Ideal location for plane spotting.
2 min walk to train station which for about £8.50 will take you into London in 20mins and for that all the underground is included.
Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is clean with plenty of parking. I emailed prior to ourstay and requested a high floor room and we got upgraded to a family suite free of charge.
Breakfast is a self service buffet which was ok.
2 min walk to train station which takes you into London in 20mins and costs like £8.50 and that covers you for the underground too.
Great location for plane spotting.
No complaints. Had a pleasant stay and would definitely return.
