Good location for Thorpe Park, booked hotel and 3 days theme park entry tickets through Thorpe park website. Stayed an extra night and the hotel charged more for one night than overall package deal but at least allowed us to keep the same room. Rooms were fresh and clean with all usual facilities. Breakfast was generally good with some choice but no where close to london Marriott regents park earlier in year. There were communal lounge areas on each floor. I booked and paid for parking on site which was via barrier entry but proved very convenient. Overall a good hotel which was very busy too.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel last night. Firstly, we turned up and had to wait quite a while for somebody to even come to reception to greet us. After calling out a good few times, somebody finally came to help. After being given our room key and getting into the room, we needed to leave to get to a restaurant where we had a table booked. However, before we left we decided to check the room and we came to find that the television was not working at all. We called reception and told them about it and that we needed to go out, & they said someone would be up straight away. Fifteen minutes and two phone calls later, still nobody had come. When someone eventually did come, they moved us to another room which took another fifteen minutes and we had missed our restaurant booking and had to find somewhere else.

After eating we came back to our room, which was absolutely boiling. We could not get the air conditioning to work and the windows were locked. We went to reception and they said that the air conditioning wasn't working anywhere in the hotel - so after another twenty minutes or so someone finally came to open our window. For a hotel to charge the full price for rooms which are sweat boxes is ridiculous. We were appalled that we had not even been offered a better room or some sort of discount/refund for the trouble, and for a room that did not function properly. We had to sleep with the window open and a lot of noise coming through.

The staff were relatively polite, but extremely unorganised and seemed not to care too much. When we left we didn't get a thank you or goodbye or anything. The hotel looks run down from outside and dirty, and the rooms feel like dorms, really nothing special. The tv is oddly placed and very small. Does not look like the pictures. I would expect to pay thirty pounds maximum for a service like that. We were extremely disappointed with this hotel and will NEVER be visiting again.

It was a rugby weekend with England v Ireland so no comments on the festivities in the bar.
The room was more than adequate and clean. Difficult to figure out how to get into shower mode but figured it out eventually and the water was hot.
The breakfast seemed pricey so we did not bother.
All the staff were extremely pleasant and there were than more adequate staff at busy times and in the bar late on Saturday night.
On a one night stay my only criticism is the exterior. It was clearly evident that the litter, cigarette buts and other items had not been cleaned up in ages all around the hotel. It's not a great welcome to be greeted from the car park to reception with but ends stuck in the drainage ducts and litter being blown around the car park.
The surrounding streets are not clean of litter so an effort to keep the hotel environment clean and tidy would go a long way to creating a positive and pleasant impression.

Teed check in, clear instructions on parking charges of eight pounds a day. Breakfast was included during a three night stop. Make sure you beat the breakfast rush, we ate at 0730, it seemed to get busy about ten minutes later. I had room 132. Very clean and mostly quiet, I am not sure why but I became aware of aircraft noise during the second night. Comfortable bed, good washing facilities. I am not keen on having shower shampoo/soap in sealed sachets, the only way to open for me was my teeth, but if that is the only complaint............ Good and quick book out. I did not eat at the hotel other than breakfast but the cooking smells in the Restraunt did smell nice! Lots of take aways close by.

Room Tip: I was only disturbed by plane traffic noise one night, 132 is on the side of the hotel away from the...

The hotel was ok, stayed here for one night as we had a morning flight out of Heathrow. The reception staff were pleasant enough and helpful. Our room was ok, basic but has everything you need, the bathroom was clean enough! well the shower did look a bit nasty, so had a good wash instead. They have a restuarant on site which was nice enough the staff very itentive and the food tasty and reasonably priced,so what we paid for a nights stay and parking for ten days (£104) it was fine and would stay again for a over night stay if flying from Heathrow again.

Room Tip: higher floor have less noise.

Has more character outside than inside the premises. Hopefully, management does a bit of dressing up all the way to the rooms. The hotel needs a good one. Overall, found it dull, but kudos to the front desk personnel for trying to liven things up and provide good customer service.

Room Tip: Did not get to sleep as we decided to pack our bags and go.
