“Convenient to transport but....”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

I have known of this hotel for 13 years as my overseas wedding guests stayed overnight, it was reasonably new then and more appealing. We stayed this weekend for one night before heading into London. The room was adequate and clean. The bed, I always look at the mattress, was very clean, very comfortable and very clean linen, pillows were a bit thin. The bathroom fittings were fine and in working order, I was surprised to see toiletries for the rating of this hotel, likewise a fridge with complimentary water and a safe.

Where this hotel falls down is the fact that it is used as a 'airline crew' hotel and passengers from delayed flights, this makes for a lot of traffic, cases and bodies in reception which seemed like a crowded underground station each time we walked in and the comfy seating was therefore not a place you wanted to sit. The breakfast is very overpriced and poor quality. We found it to be lukewarm, tinned mushrooms, deep fried sausage that oozed oil in quantity when you cut into it, yuk, bacon that looked nothing like bacon, awfully presented and didn't look fit for human consumption. The best of it was the grilled tomatoes and baked beans. Having said that the staff were very eager to please but you can make a silk purse out of a sows ear seems appropriate. Was rather disappointed at the car parking charges but on reflection its equitable not to lump this into the room when it appears most clients are in transit and wont have a car.

So if you want just a nights accommodation with good links to overland trains into London or Reading and beyond, bus links to LHR and Kempton Park Racing, this is an affordable clean venue. I would not choose to eat in the restaurant based on the breakfast.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel recently and upon checking-in found our room to be moderately sized, not as small as some other hotels within this price range. There was a mini flat screen television and a fridge in the room. Bathroom was clean upon check-in although one of the towels had some faint stains on it. Housekeeping should do a better job of cleaning up the used towels.

Breakfast was on the pricey side considering the quality and quantity on offer. Prices were Pounds 7.95 for Continental Breakfast and 9.95 for the Full English Breakfast. Choices were fairly limited for those opting for the Continental breafast.

The public bus takes approximately 20-25 minutes from London Heathrow Airport to the hotel.

Overall we found this to be a decently priced hotel but drawbacks listed above can be improved upon.

we stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, the rooms were lovely and clean and quite big enough, however the lifts were slow and one was not working at all, it took most people in excess of 10 minutes to get to the ground floor.
The breakfast was very expensive, continental 7.95 and full cooked 9.95 all self service, not worth it.

Internet at 10 pounds a day was also expensive, however they do have their own which is 1 pound for 20 mins also parking at 7 pounds a day was also expensive.
All in all a very clean hotel with exceptionally friendly staff but look for the hidden costs.

Room Tip: ask for hotel near the top for a good view

I have stayed here a few times during short London layovers. Reasonably easy and very cheap bus transfers available on London Transport; takes no more than 20 minutes from the Heathrow bus terminal, with a stop just a few metres from the hotel. A short walk to the Feltham High Street, which has a variety of major shops and an ASDA megastore. Dining options in the immediate vicinity are quite limited, though the hotel has an OK restaurant with very reasonable prices. The Wetherspoons pub, close by offers great value meals. I found the staff very helpful - on both recent visits I arrived early and they went to trouble to find me a room. Rooms are small, but have all the necessary facilities, and are clean.

A little apprehensive ahead of a one night stay here because of previous reviews. We chose it simply because it was handy for a family get-together in Hampton and we were able to use a holiday voucher someone had given us. However, we found it perfectly adequate. It did look as though it could do with a few coats of paint and the breakfast, while there was plenty of it, was below average in quality with rubbery croissants and poor coffee. But all the staff we dealt with were exceptionally friendly, the air conditioning in our room worked well on the hottest day of the year, the soundproofing was good so we had a good night's sleep - in fact you'd never know we only a mile or two from the Heathrow runways. Parking was easy and we had a decent view from our sixth floor window.

Stayed as part of Wimbledon package, first impressions were not good hotel looked shabby from outside and it continued inside. Very hot weekend and no air conditioning downstairs! Had twin room whichh had seen better days... Needed painting desperately, beds looked very uninviting. Didn't have a great nights sleep. Hotel had a funny smell which I guess is from needing a very good clean... Tried breakfast the first morning and avoided it the second morning as it was awful. Didn't have any meals there as I thought that if the hotels not clean god knows what the kitchens like! The only bonus was the train station, we went to twickenham for a meal and lovely stroll along the river.
