St Giles Heathrow - A St Giles Hotel

I stay for 2 night and three days in June 2012 with my family and friends. A good choice for passengers in odd hours flight , About 10 min drive from Heathrow. Ambience is good , reception is rude, rooms were good, bathrooms good, breakfast was poor, specially for pure vegetarians, there was very little choice. We were for group holiday tour of Thomas Cook India, the hotel was very far far from city centre , so please never choose if you want to do city sight seeing, specially late evenings. We face lot of problems when we came back to Hotel in night after 11 PM. So be careful in selecting hotel if you want to do London s/s.

Arrived at the hotel after waiting 20 minutes to check in I went to my room. I was colder in the room than it was outside, The air con was not working. The room was dirty and it looked like someone had slept in my bed, Housekeeping re made my room after a two hour wait. The rooms smell all the fixtures and fittings are dirty and the light switches have never been cleaned since they were first installed. The room had a portable heater in in to warm the room up , the down side is that when you turn either the Kettle or the television on the room is plunged into darkness due to the load on the circuit. Having had my room power supply re set 3 times I decided to go to bed to keep warm and watch the telly as you cannot have both. Breakfast is another event having to que with several coach parties to get into the room you are ushered (well not really) pointed to an area designated for full rack rate guests, you then have to battle with 100+ coach party guests all fighting over the poorly stocked breakfast buffet. I stay in hotels 3 times plus per week and can honestly say i am easy to please but this hotel is just the limit.

Room Tip: My advice is simple . Dont stay here book ino the Premier in Bath road or the Jurys Inn they cost th...

We booked this hotel at the last minute through rooms net.com and when we arrived it as booked for the next night not sure if it was my mistake or the website but the receptionist was wonderful and sorted it out for us, nothing was too ugh trouble. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast had a good choice. Car parking a bit expensive at £7 a night which bumps the cost up.
Would stay again if we could get the same deal but the price quoted direct with the hotel was twice what we paid on the internet.

Hotel is basic in some respects but the price reflects this.Close to railway station for commuting toTwickenham and Richmond. The staff on arrival were helpful and pleasant. We had no problem with the breakfast, there was always plenty to eat.You had to go and collect cutlery and make your own tea.The room was adequate for our needs for two nights stay but t it all depends on your budget.

This is a large pretty impersonal hotel that is fine if you dont expect too much.Friendly receptionist (the Scottish girl training to be a dancer) and easy parking.Rooms are clean if not particularly luxurious or spacious.Food was OK (we had the pie and pint deal for a tenner) although we did not try the expensive breakfast due to other reviews we had read.We stayed as we were heading to Twickenham for the rugby international. This is where the hotel really scores. It is 2 mins walk to Feltham station and 7 minutes on the train to Twickenham. We are going up again in a few weeks again for the rugby and will definately stay here..

Room Tip: The higher up you go the better the view

stayed again on the 2nd Febuary for the England v Scotland game, we arrived early as we wanted to park the car, no problem in booking in as the hotel was not full, we had a twin room on the 9th floor, the room was clean, the towels could be a little bigger but for one night ok very quite had good sleep, breakfast is buffet style plenty of choice if busy you may have to wait for certain things but coffee and fruit juices were plentyful, car parking was £7 good value and the room with breakfast for 2 was £45 excellent will be going back again

We stopped in this hotel for 1 night prior to a flight to USA to include parking. Although the staff on arrival seemed friendly, the room was awful. The bed was a double, clearly in the space for a king size. Every movement however small felt like being on a trampoline. The pillows were absolutely awful - so much so that i ended up sleeping with my blow up neck pillow. The worst pre-flight stay I have ever had. To top it off, the receptionist on arrival was rude (not just to me, but other staff members whilst i was there) and demanded payment of extra nights parking, on top of what I was required to pay. I will not stay here again
