In Bozcaada, a small but a beautiful island in The Aegean Sea, one of the few islands which belong to Turkey.
The beaches and the sea is wonderful, and the temperature of the sea water is surprisingly very fresh.
Mitos Hotel offered us everything we needed during our stay, the breakfast was very satisfying with local bread, cheese, olives and home-made marmelades.
The owners were friendly and watchful for our needs.

We (couple and our 2 year old daughter) stayed 3 nights at Mitos. Really nice and big rooms w spa-like decor. Friendly staff, however only one spoke English. 5 mins walking distance to center.

Hotel is in a position just out of the center of the town, no rumours
The room was large, with nice & good furniture, TV, hairdryer and a fridge. Room is clean and breakfast was good. Change of towel daily.
Friendly staff at the hotel and (bonus) the great opportunity of umbrella and chairs at the Mitos Beach.
Mitos Beach was a chapter apart:
Beautiful cold water, warm sun, nice wiew, good food and a sweet soundtrack ( fado, french music, spanish, tango and brazilian music) bring you out of this world to a sort of Nirvana...Price of food or drink @ beach are discounted for the Mitos Hotel guests.
We booked for 3 nights and after 2 days we decided to stay one night more.
We loved to sojourn @Mitos and loved every minute of our 4day staiyng in Bozcaada.

Mitos Hotel is a new boutique hotel in Bozcaada that opened in May 2008. It is within easy walking distance of the harbour. The hotel is not inexpensive (but few on this island are), with rooms ranging from 120 to 210 YLT, but this solo traveller was able to get a double room for 90 YTL in late June. All rooms are a good size, with the higher priced rooms being very large. See their website (www.mitos.bozcaada.com) for pictures of their larger rooms. Room 21 is the largest double in the low price range and has the largest and cleanest bathroom that I encountered in my six-weeks of travelling through Turkey. There is a complimentary in room safe, though not large enough for a laptop, and there is good cupboard space as well as a mini-bar. Housekeeping keeps the rooms clean. Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or indoors, a trend that seems to be taking hold at a number of hotels in Turkey. Wifi seldom works in the upstairs rooms, so it is necessary to use the outdoor breakfast area. There is no computer for guests’ use. I am not knowledgeable about the workings of routers or modems, so this may just be a coincidence, but every time the owner received a phone call (which BTW was connected to the router), I lost my internet connection. I was told that because of solar heating, there is no hot water before 9:30 am, however as I was departing at 7am, they agreed to have the hot water on by 6am.
Breakfast is a real treat. The typical Turkish breakfast is served, but the owner makes these two wonderful jams (the one that is apparently made from a flower, is to die for!), there is excellent drip coffee, and you have a choice of having your egg boiled, scrambled, or fried. There is no address on their web site so when you make your reservation ask for the address as few people in town know the hotel’s location, likely because of it being so new. They have a private beach club on the south side of the island that can be accessed by public transport – and there is no need to bring money to their beach club as any purchases can be billed to your room account. My plan was to stay in Bozcaada for three days, but I ended up staying five. If R&R is on your agenda, then Bozcaada Island is for you, and I would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic and relaxing stay.
