I was gobsmacked when I was shown our room! For the amount of money we had paid, definitely not what I had expected. The rooms are by far, below standard and definitely not what you see on their website. The photo's on their website must have been taken over two decades ago and no one has cared to take proper care of the place since then...From outside, the building looks rundown and in dire need of some renovations. Inside their rooms, besides the general distasteful decor of the room, you have to deal with beds so uncomfortable, you'd be very tempted to rather sleep on the floor...Let me not even get started on the gross state of the bathroom we had to use...Extremely, extremely disappointing!!! Thank God we were so close to breath-taking attractions which we could escape to...

Though this cannot be described as luxurious accomodation, the staff's professional friendlyness makes up for it. The Floreat is central to town and most surrounding waterfalls, making it an ideal place to stay. Breakfast and Dinner menu and presentation was superb! Thanks you all! :)

My wife wanted something special for my birthday. So we agreed to book a night out followed by a special SPA treatment as a couple.
Rooms are average and the property is in need of some maintenance and face lift. It is a lovely location and the place has great potential, but does not reflect the rating. I did not expect 5 star, but a few things were amiss for a three star. We had dinner out in Sabie - very nice and of good quality at Woodsman restaurant.
Breakfast at Hotel was average and the rooms seem cold and tatty.
I also booked a couples SPA treatment and paid for all in advance. When checking in, the receptionist reminded me of our couples treatment booked for 10h00 on Monday morning. It was great service up to this point.
After breakfast we got voucher to go to SPA. There we were told, sorry one staff is off, so we cannot accommodate your booking. Didn't reception tell you! Hello, is it my problem that staff is off???????
I am a paying customer and at least expect to receive what I paid for. Am myself in the hospitality industry since 1982, but this this is unexceptable!
My birthday was spoiled!
Shall not return, do to poor management. Must say that the staff were friendly and helpfull. SPA has an attitude of no care!

This place is utterly bleak and average. The rooms are so grim and uninspiring, there is no warm lighting, tiled floors, ugly furniture circa 1982, no wifi, and a thick musty smell in the air I still haven't gotten used to. Its totally uninspiring. The staff seem friendly and the lounge is lovely enough but the rooms are awful. Wish I had looked into other options.

We stayed in February 2013 and were greeted by friendly staff that showed us to our rooms. The rooms are fairly standard with few luxury items. The hotel is set in lower Sabie with great views of the pine forests and quite a lot of space to roam around and a swimming pool. Some of the dishes on the restaurant's menu are not as good as some others.

We arrived to be checked in swiftly by a lovely lady and then given a show around of the beautiful hotel. We decided to eat in sports bar area that night but they had a conference on and the crowd was very noisy, so Jones said we could eat in the restaurant and still eat of the bar menu, which was lovely and worth the wait.
We will stay here again! Rooms beautiful and view is amazing.....nice treat!

We stayed here in 1998 on a trip to Kruger and the hotel has made some changes however for the most part there is little exciting to report. The rooms are sparse, the towels almost worn out and the food just so-so. This is definitely a two or three star location. Most of the people in our section of the hotel were cooking outdoors and from breakfast there were very few customers in the restaurant. It was very hot and the A/C for the most part was struggling and not keeping anything cool. There are not many places to stay in Sabie and this may be one of the best locations. We chose not to eat dinner at the hotel and opted for the old train car located in downtown Sabie.
