“Amazing lodge!”

Absolutely recommended!! We had the Zebra room, which was a big room, beautifully decorated, big private bathroom, two private balconies and own jacuzzi. We felt very luxury. We peaked in some other rooms, which were nice and clean too. Every room has is own theme. Owners are very friendly. Very good and extensive breakfast. Close to Kruger (one hour) and to Panorama route. Beautiful garden and communal area with a nice pool. They have wi-fi. We didn't want to leave!

We stayed here for four nights during our four week holiday in SA. Greg was so helpful in advising us where to go and what to see in the area. We stayed in the Leopard suite and were able to cater for ourselves, having two braais in the little courtyard/garden. The breakfasts in the main house were very good, and the swimming pool large and beautifully kept. The only suggestion would be that the accommodation could be slightly upgraded.

Nice B&B at the edge of Sabie. Stayed there for 2nd time and would return with pleasure. Good rooms, clean, excellent breakfast. Close to city centre with good restaurants. Recommend the Fig Tree! Area around it is beatiful and next time we'll stay two nights there to have time to look around. Great hospitality. Nice bar near the pool on a look out deck.

We stayed here for one night only which didn't do it justice, however was impressed by the the friendliness of Kate and Greg they let us bring our own food in and use their kitchen. Our room or should I say apartment was huge, very clean. It was obviously for a family, with a full kitchen. There was even milk in the fridge so we could have a refreshing cup of tea on arrival although we didn't have to do this as Kate served up tea and homemade cake on the Verandah,l cake was yummy. Greg even put UK Premiership football on tv as our team MCFC were playing. The Pool area was excellent and very refreshing after a long drive. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The bar area we couldn't fault. Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay here again.

Thank you Greg for this wonderful experience and stay, words can't even begin to describe the amazing moments that we have experienced with family and friends in your Lodge. The Leopard Room was excellent, the breakfast was delicious, the house and the environment were beautiful. In conclusion I strongly recommend your Lodge and see you soon.

We stayed here on our last night in South Africa, and were very impressed. Greg offered us the ultra-comfortable Zebra room with a huge bed and its own decking and jacuzzi with direct access to the swimming pool. The honesty bar area is great with large, sink-into sofas overlooking the pool and free wifi.
Greg produced a substantial breakfast to send us on our way and finish off a highly-recommended, extremely good value stay.
We will definitely return when we're in the area again.
Many thanks Greg
Ted and Anna

Room Tip: The Zebra room is the best in the house and well worth asking for

This is a very nice B&B at the Sabie village fringe. Quite a big building but not very many rooms. Run by a very friendly and helpful couple, whose names I unfortunately forgot. Good, full breakfast, nice rooms. Rooms could use a makeover, but we were quite happy. Outside chillout lounge and pool, honesty bar etc.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Greg and Family offer guests a warm personal welcome to our lovely, distinctive home, constructed of river stone and local timber, peacefully situated overlooking the stunning natural beauty of the Sabie Gorge. Without exception, the many guests who have stayed with us comment on the uniqueness of our home and that photographs just do not do it justice. From the verandah you can catch a glimpse of the hyrax enjoying the early morning sunshine, watch our resident sunbirds sipping nectar from strelitzia and hibiscus flowers, hear the occasional fish eagle calling and we have even been lucky enough to have a hippo wander by! Or you may like to take a short stroll across open bushveld to sit on the rocks and admire the gorge and river below. The emphasis of our spacious rooms is to offer guests comfort and a place to relax and feel at home. All have a separate private entrance and the majority overlook the lush gardens. Children are welcome, so we have family suites available and we are the only wheel chair friendly guesthouse in Sabie. Sumptuous breakfasts are served either in the dining room or on the verandah overlooking the swimming pool. We offer warm and friendly hospitality. ... more   less
