During our private tour with a guide of the area, we stayed here one night. We had excellent service as our guide is a regular.
Our room, No. 5, was spacious and nicely decorated. However we did struggle to unlock the second (metal) door as there was no outside light (we arrived late).
Included in the room was a fridge, kettle, coffee plunger, but only instant coffee, powdered milk and tea bags. In the bathroom, soap is provided but no shampoo etc. A large bottle of water was provided as it was recommended not to drink the tap water.
The only wifi is in the main building and has to be bought (39 rand).
We had a nice three course meal and tried some of the recommended wine (R33 & 37). They were very full glasses so we thought good value. Vegetarian meals are catered for on request. Breakfast was a buffet including cereal, fruit, yoghurt, muffins, scones, corn fritters, scrambled eggs, bacon and more.
The grounds are lovely and it was very peaceful. We found the staff generally very friendly.
I would stay again.

The main house, grounds and views were beautiful. However the communication by staff was poor. There was a wonderful bar that we were not aware of until breakfast and/or maybe it was not open. It was not clear if a glass of wine was included or not included with the three course dinner. It would have been great to enjoy a drink before or after dinner. The breakfast portions were very small. It was not clear where you could go in the sprawling house and where you could not go. We did not mind taking our bags to our room that was quite a way from the main reception but it would have been good if a porter was offered to help us. We are not sure whether we asked for a non smoking room but we should of as the verandah is shared with the room next door where there were people smoking. This meant we could not sit on our verandah and enjoy the view. The room we had had two steps as soon as you entered the room which made it quite awkward when leaving the room. There were no towels available at the pool.

I stayed here with a friend for one night as we were transiting out of Kruger area. While the grounds of the property are lovely, the room and common areas are quite dated. Our room had an old, moldy/musty smell that was a bit off-putting. Also the door locks were so dated and confusing, that we had a get a tutorial from the staff just to exit our room. In addition, there was no wifi in the room.

The general outdated feeling continues into the hotel lobby and the restaurant areas, where elevator music is piped over a speaker system. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was average.

Overall, our stay was not terrible, but I would not classify this property as a four star inn/hotel by any stretch. With some overdue updates, this property could be much better.

We stayed here two nights while enjoying a tour of the Blyde Canyon. We found Bohms to be quite old and in need of some upgrading. The room was small and very dated. The outdoor furniture is all rod iron, uncomfortable and older. Beautiful views of the countryside and grounds are well kept but very uncomfortable to sit on deck off rooms to enjoy view. Thomas was very helpful in answering any of our questions but we found his wife to be very unfriendly and unwelcoming. She runs the wine store next door and hardly even spoke to us when we went in there also! You pay extra for wifi and they ask you to use it very little which was fine. Breakfast was good, they offered a good selection and made our eggs anyway we asked! We ate two dinners there and they were quite good! Monkeys are on property, cute to see!

The drive along the Sabie Road to the property is riddled with potholes, so you need to travel in the daytime. once we arrived there we received a very warm welcome. beautiful surroundings and lovely Gardens, the rooms were privately located along the banks of the Sabie River and close to nature, very quiet and easy to relax and read a book, they have a lovely swimming pool, and the location allows for easy visits to the nearby attractions like the Kruger Park and Blyde River Canyon on the Panorama Route. The service is excellent, they serve dinner which must be booked in advance, the breakfast and dinners are tasty. The staff is very friendly and extremely private, it felt like a home away from home.
