“Nice resort”
Reviewed August 10, 2011

The resort is lovely, nice beach & a few restraunts & bars, very family friendly. The hotel could do with updating a bit. No room have airconditioning, fans can be hired (if your lucky) but you do really need airconditioning. We had to go back to reception to ask for bedlinen & towels for out two children because they hadn't given us any. Bringing a travel kettle is a must as there isnt any in the rooms, there are a few cups, plates & some cutlery,a cooker & a fridge, a toaster & microwave would of been useful.
There are safes in the room although we were told it was more secure to hire the safes at reception & weren't given the option to hire the one in the room.
The shower was a bit of a pain as it constantly went very hot then cold, need to be cafeful when the kids are using it!
We had a bit of a problem with ant,out toothbrushes were a big attraction to them & then spend two night sharing a bed with them. I did tell reception & they did seem to sort it but only for a day.
The whole place was kept very clean & we had clean towels & our room cleaned every day.
With a few changes this would be a perfect place because its in an idylic position.
A word of warning if your planning on getting a taxi to the airport, allow plenty of time we waited approx an hour & a half & then only one arrived when we'd ordered two.

Room Tip: Ask for a groundfloor room as there are no lifts

Pool area is great with lots of good quality sun loungers the pool itself is small and very busy, its the only pool in the area and is used by guests from other hotels too. Rooms are very basic and dated. The loo in our room was broken. Bedding and towels were often just thrown into the room by the maids. Shower was ok, plenty of hot water. No secure storage for luggage after checkout, which is at 11.30. Rooms were plagued by ants. No air con and fans in short supply. Bring your own kettle. No microwave. Not much cutlery or crockery. There was a break in while we stayed and we heard reports of similar incidents. However the resort is fantastic. Very small and family orientated. Very safe and quiet. There are only about six restaurants and bars in the resort and the menu is limited. The beach is great but sun beds and parasols are €6 each. Average meal for two adults and two children €80. It's a great resort IF you can put up with basic accomodation.

Definitely value for money - a great budget hotel. This certainly isn't for somewhere for those looking for a luxury stay (which we weren't) however the rooms were perfectly functional and clean. The staff were friendly. However the location is brilliant - right on a beautiful cove with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. I would definitely stay again if I came back to the area on a budget.

We've just returned from a great trip to Ibiza, we stayed at the Cala Vadella apartments with our four year old son for 10 days and can't recommend them highly enough for an affordable family holiday. The apartments are spacious, spotlessly clean and in a fantastic location right next to the beach. The pool area is also lovely with lots of nice loungers and plenty of space for kids to play safely. The staff were very helpful and friendly too. We'll be back!

Apartments are twin bedded with two single sofa's in the sitting room which are not that long. Tall people beware. Not really suitable for couples on honeymoon! Kitchenette was very basic with gas cooker, undercounter fridge and the bare essential cutlery, crockery and pans. No kettle or toaster. Towels were changed daily and the maid swept rooms and changed sheets every other day. Staff were very friendly and the pool area was lovely and well kept.
A stones throw from the lovely sandy bay with clear, clean water and plenty of restaurants to suit most budgets.
Supermarket in hotel is very limited, but there is another in the resort which sells fresh bread and croissants daily and fruit etc.
Top tips are to hire a car as it is pretty isolated or to use the bus which is 2.40 Euros into Ibiza town, taxis back about 35 Euros after midnight (last bus from resort 8pm)
Avoid booking with ALPHAROOMS.COM, they did not give hotel our requests, and have very poor customer service. Lots of agents use this hotel, so my advice is find another one.

very good value for money- appartments spacious and clean. Basic and Cheap. Next to beach although not overlooking it (no view but very convenient). Cala Vadella although should be paradisical as its a long cove with transparent and interesting waters - is destroyed. Tacky, dirty plastic umbrellas stuck into the sand, resort is badly kept and its such a shame because it could be stunnning! This part of the island is quite remote - rent a car recommended. We got some taxis and they are not cheap. Only stayed here 3 nights -close to Ibiza town for the rest of the week - much better...was relieved to get out of this place.

We came to stay at Cala Vadella for a five night break. The location is fabulous - a stone's throw from a gorgeous beach with a couple of lovely restaurants nearby. The sunset on this quiet beach is absolutely beautiful.

Our apartment was basic but comfy, and the maid came to provide clean towels and change the bedlinen every other day. We managed to lock oursleves out of our bathroom in the middle of the night and rthe lady from reception could not have been more helpful.

This place is great for a relaxing break. There were lots of young families on the beach so it would be good for families with children too. You do need to hire a car as it is a bit off the beaten track, but this was most definitely a plus for us.

Room Tip: Bring an electric kettle it isn't provided
