We came through Urbanització Bellavista by chance and discovered Panoramica Playa while searching for a place to have dinner with a seaview. The restaurant name implies a nice view, but we were somewhat suspicious from it's cheapish outside looks (you can look it up with Streetview). However, since we were hungry and there was locals eating there we assumed it cannot be too bad. This was a misconception.
The place has a nice view on Bahia de Palma indeed; overlooking parts of Palma and Palmanova (I think). However, the cheapish outside looks continue inside, which is really an open terrace: pale neon lights, no decoration, no music. A few lanterns here and there, some spanish guitar music and a few decorations would help tremendously to improve the atmosphere of this place. Especially because the seaview is the only nice view because any other view is at unfinished construction sites.
The two waiters have been friendly, although I had the impression one of the guys was terribly frustrated because he would make a sad face when we ordered. We ordered mixed fried vegetables (11,90 Euro) for starters and a blind mixed paella (16,50 Euro).
We got the obligatory bread with olives first. You could tell the bread wasnt fresh by the looks of it already. It was dry and hard. The olives were okay. The fried vegetables were nothing special and it was peppers mostly. I have no clue how they justify the price tag on that dish. The paella was barely edible and anything but fresh. The meat chunks in it were hard as rock. So was the rice (where it wasnt burned).
In the end, we paid 56 Euros, including drinks when the whole experience tasted like less than 10. Needless to say, we won't go there again.
