There is not a lot to add to the good reviews and people who give bad reviews should do their homework before booking. You got exactly what was advertised. We wanted a relaxing break, mainly by the pool, and we got just that. We found loungers in the quietest spot every day and have got to say that the pool was one of the warmest I have ever been in.
If I was to nit pick, it would be just to say that we thought that the restaurant was more in keeping with a snack bar. However, as these apartments were originally for SC, the restaurant was formerly the supermarket. In saying this though, we usually stay in hotels but have to say we preferred the apartments spaciousness to just one room. Thanks to Paco and each and every one of his staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

We stayed at the Las Palmeros in the beginning of June & were very impressed ;food was excellent , service was 1st rate & staff were pleasant & friendly , rooms clean & spacious , my son has a dissability , he was treated with dignity at all times . Never been all inclusive before , this was well worth it ! maybe a little entertainment once or twice a week ?

have just returned from here the staff great area excellent rooms poor standard need a good refurb no soundproofing had a family with kids running riot every time they came in then had a group of Spanish school children for two days app 45 with only three adults they ran riot until midnight the first night while cares sat in lounge drinking
the food I found to be poor quality (more mums gone to Iceland )than the fresh quality you expect from a country with such a growing climate used to 4+ I though the 3+rating would be quite good but far below any four star I have used would not go again I would rate this as a struggling 3star at best

Room Tip: the bungalows seem a lot better that is what I was shown on my receipt but not where we were put so...

We stayed at the Las Palmeras at the end of May 2013 for 11nts. The accomodation is lovely and clean, although we felt certain aspects could do with bringing into the 21st century ( the old fashioned door locks with a large acrylic block that weighed more than me ). The resort, is not really a resort but a village. We used the buses and travelled to Mao, Son Bou and Cala en porter, the bus picks up outside the complex with the first bus at 08.55 and a cost of 1.65e into Mao. We enjoyed the pool, although only the children were brave enough to swim as the water was far too cold due to the long winter, the weather only started to pick up from 1st June, which the locals told us was very late.
The food was fine and we ate well at every meal. Some people complained about the food choices, particularly for vegetarians etc , but to be honest the problem was more of lack of labels than lack of choice. Breakfast was 08.30-10, lunch 1-2.30 and evening meal 7-9.30pm. The dining area is small, with just one servery area but we never waited more than 5mins for a table at busy times. The ice-creams on the AI were lovely, fresh scoop cones with a good choice of flavours, although the pool bar opened on the last day and it looked like they served a different selection so that may have changed.
The kids club was at the San Luis sports complex until 1st June when it moved to the Las Palmeras, but our children felt it was too young for them ( they are 9 & 10) they prefered to play tennis, table tennis, boules and mini-golf with us at the San Luis. My son was dissapointed that the activities advertised when we booked ( archery, rifle shooting, darts etc ) were for adults only and not available for the children.
On a evening we walked ( 10min) or took the mini train down to the San Luis. Some of the shows were good, others not so. We experienced no problems from the San Luis 'clientele' although I did see them complaining about other families/children disturbing their peace! The pool at the San Luis during the day was deathly quiet when we walked passed!!
Overall we had a lovely peaceful holiday, which on this occassion was what we needed, although it wouldn't be active enough to entertain our children for a return visit. We enjoyed the island, the people and the staff at the complex.

Room Tip: We stayed in 8A which is a ground floor and could be seen from the pool area which was handy for the...

Just arrived back yesterday from the perfect weeks holiday at Las Palmeras apartment's.
The apartment's were great clean very spacious and ours was right next to the pool.
Also had a cooker and kettle so we could make hot drinks through out our stay.
The only issue I had with the apartment our towels were only changed every 3 days would of expected daily or every second day.
The food was excellent I was expecting the food to be okay, but every meal time a wide selection of salads and hot dishes.
Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
The 2 pools were a good size but were a bit cold for the kids.

I would highly recommend Las Palmaras.and will defo go back.

I have just returned from Las Palmaras and previous reviews tell how good these apartments are. This is true - they are clean, pleasant and the general layout is spacious.and not cramped in any way. There is a large, clean swimming pool and never a shortage of sunbeds. The bar staff and management are friendly and helpful and it's very peaceful and quiet. However, I really felt there was something missing - enough for me not to give it an excellent rating. Somehow it lacked heart - perhaps it could have done with someone playing a piano or guitar of an evening in the lounge, just to have some form of entertainment. Also, for those doing self catering a small shop on site may be a good idea as shops aren't that close. I feel a car is essential because when the weather is unsettled, as was the case for our stay, you definitely need something to do and places to see. The island itself is lovely and we visited some beautiful places. We did enjoy our stay overall and I hope I'm not being too unkind with my comments, but just felt something was lacking - as mentioned, the weather wasn't great, so it could have been the sunshine too!

My partner & I have just returned from a 10 day all inclusive trip to the Las Palmeras Apartments and we cannot recommend them highly enough, as has been said in previous reviews the staff are all so helpful and Juan who works in the bar and in the pizzeria grill is an absolute star! Nothing was too much trouble for Paco the manager and Antonio and the rest of the staff were all very helpful.

The only downside to our stay was the weather, which included gales and thunderstorms, but thankfully the Las Palmeras has a lovely lounge area and free wi-fi so on those days when you couldn't go out at least you had a change of scenery.

We stayed in one of the bungalows and would recommend paying the extra for this, they are an excellent size, very clean and have all the facilities you could require.

The pool area was lovely and the pool itself is very large and clean, there are probably enough sun loungers to allow everyone to have one should the apartments be fully booked which is very unusual.

We were on the all inclusive deal (11am - 11pm) which had a good variety of meals served three times a day, crisps and ice cream were also available as snacks between meal times. It's worth noting that the Cava and glasses of Sangria are also included on AI.

The resort is very quiet and peaceful and the apartments are in a fantastic setting and if you like walking you could ask for nothing more, also having the San Luis Hotel and the Los Naranchos bar only 10/15 minutes walk or train ride away was very handy as you could also use the bar (and wi-fi) there on AI.

The bus service though infrequent (approximately every 2 hours) was very efficient and the bus stop is right outside reception.

If I had one suggestion to make it would be that perhaps the maids could make more trips, we were there for 10 days but only had maid service twice, but other than that it was faultless and we will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra and have one of the bungalows - we were in no. 33 and if you were on your terrace...
