Came back today from a great week's break with hubby and out 17 month old. Room... Ideal size, comfortable and very handy having the kitchen area even though we were all inclusive. Found the beds a little hard but we put the sofa bed matress on the bed... very comfy!!!! One downside was ants in the room but it was sorted instantly and they left the spray for us. Had the odd one after that but nothing to bad. When we arrived our room wasn't ready, which after getting up early with a child you just want want to settle in,
Food/snacks... great food which we all enjoyed. Milk was at hand for the little one which was handy not having to walk to the supermarket! It took a few days for our little one to adjust to feeding times but they would benefit from having slightly earlier meal times as they were 8.30 am 1pm and 7pm. But in the past this has never botherd us but when our boy is hungry....! Snacks were ice cream and crisps.
Pool area... Excellent. Spent most of the time in the little pool, had sunbeds around and enough there. It was pretty quiet on the whole though. The large pool was ace and, well, large! Area was clean and well maintained. Again, quite a few ants, but as long as you kept food/drink spillages low they werent to bad
Staff... friendly, helpful and hard working.
Entertainment... although the evening entertainment could be found at neighbouring hotel we did not go. Partly as little one went to bed soon after we ate. It would have been nice to have entertainment at the hotel. Especilally when the only tv you get is bbc world news... (unless your spanish is good!)
On the whole great, lovely location, quiet and residential really. Do hope to return and would recommend. Met nice people too :)

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Menorca, staying at the Las palmeras appartments n S'algar, well let me say what a fantastic stay we had at the apartments, all staff from the cleaners to managment were very friendly & always willing to help you,Appartments were spotless & very modern also the two pools were the best ive ever used & my 8 year old daughter espcially loved the kids pool which most of the time had all two herself, the two restraunts had very good choices of food but we only used the pizza restraunt as we went self catering but heard the main buffet restraunt was just as good & Packo the waiter coudnt do anough for us,we were very unsure before we booked Las palmeras appartments after reading the reviews but let me just say its beautiful and very tranquil & we are going back next year & staying longer next time, also i totally disagree when people say theres nothing to do as we went for one week & didnt get to do everything we wanted to do even when we had three days of bad weaher,we did 2 trips, shopping & lots of walking & still didnt fit everything in as was going to hire a car to see more but didnt get time, There is also a mini train which is a big hit for children & adults when had a few drinks & dont want to walk back to the appartments, last word we as a family think these Appartments should be a 4**** not a 3***!!!!!!!

Room Tip: we staye in 23B and lovely veiw of nature reserve & sea after day by the pool.

Travelling as a young couple on our first holiday together, we chose this due to its price and rating and reviews. I agree with all the positive reviews on here, and can not think of a negative thing to say.
The staff were friendly and always quick to your assistance with drinks, and the AI was worth the money; there was a variety of different choices each night, with plenty of fresh fruit and salad to accompany the hot meals. I would highly recommend the tomato soup from the cauldron! Perhaps something to mention is the bacon on a morning was just like warm ham. Other than that you cannot fault the breakfasts. The ice creams were a nice snack during the meal times, as was the poolside bar. Plastic cups were supplied for around the pool.
We did eat at the restaurant too, as an AI customer we got 25% off the menu prices - I would seriously recommend a visit, the margerita pizzas were sublime!
Also, in relation to food, if you had an early check out (before the kitchen opened for breakfast) you could request a packed breakfast, which included, per person, an apple and orange, a cake bar, carton of orange juice and a ham and cheese sandwich with little tubs of jam and butter. We thought this was a nice touch.
The apartment was lovely... Very spacious with 2 couches that would double up as beds, a tv (although only 1 English channel, BBC World News), a neat kitchen and table and chairs, a coffee table and a storage cupboard. The bedroom had a fan on the ceiling and a 3-doored wardrobe with a safe... Plenty of space! There was also 2 bedside tables and a dressing table with a mirror above. The balcony was roomy with a plastic table and chair set as well as a clothes drier. A compact bathroom topped the place off nicely. The walls were a bit thin but then we had screaming kids in the apartment next to us.
In regards to entertainment, apparently San Luis has stuff on there but we chose to make full use of the pool table and air hockey, as well as the bar.
The pool was massive! Never felt full (but the majority of the week it was raining anyway) and there was also a small childrens pool and club and swings.
There were plenty sunbeds to go around, however there was a bit of a rush for the comfier ones.
The man on reception always seemed pleased to see you.
There was a 'train' that was more like a tram out of Beamish that took you around the resort on a night, though in all honesty once the novelty had worn off we realised it would be quicker to walk.
Within 20 minutes walk there was a supermarket and bakery, with a scenic path along the sea cliffs to get there.
In all, a fantastic holiday, and I think the hotel should be rated more of a 4* than 3.
We hope to return again.

Room Tip: We stayed in an apartment (11A) a bit further back from the pool than on the photos, which suited us as there was no noise early on a morning. It also has a sea view which is always nice!

If you are looking for somewhere to stay that has lots of space and a sense of calm and tranquillity this is the place for you. Very friendly and helpful staff help to make this a great place for those looking to get away from it all for a while.

We usually stay in adult only hotels and although there were children here because of the space all around the pool and the bar we never really felt like we were being overwhelmed.

Food is good but is fairly basic in the all inclusive restaurant, reasonable selection but always fresh salads and fruit so was fine for us. The onsite paying restaurant we did not use but talking to those that did the food was highly recommended.

Rooms are spacious and clean with big balconies or terraces and all the amenities you would want including a bath and shower.

For those with disabilities there is access although a couple of the ramps are steep and there are a large number of small steps (one or two inches) which are fine for wheelchairs if you are OK with small bumps. The bath area does not have hand holds though and the steps in to the pool do not have a rail. We did not request a disabled room as I can help my partner around. There is a reasonable hill if you want to go in to town but you could get a bus.

Overall we very much enjoyed out stay even if the weather was not great for our week and I would highly recommend this hotel for those who want rest and relaxation.
Great place and very friendly staff

We have recently returned from this complex having spent a week there with our 2 teenage daughters.
Overall, we can really recommend it. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
The only slight negative comment we would make is that our appartment had some sort of pool pumping equipment right next to it which was on, making a humming noise at all times of the day and also through the night. It did not disturb us too much but some people might find it a problem, if you go, appartment 36A is the one I am talking about, and probably the one next to it would be affected too.
The pool was the best we have ever been in, it was incredibly warm and clean, and a lovely size so never felt crowded.
There were the usual issues with sad (English) individuals getting up at around 7am to put towels down on sun loungers then disappearing back to bed for hours so no one else could use the beds, the hotel staff said they were looking at ways of stopping this. There were more than enough loungers for everyone round the pool.
We took a 1-day trip round the island, very enjoyable and fairly good value for money.
All in all, really lovely week, very relaxing, food was excellent (we recommend the all-inclusive) airport only 25 mins away on the coach. Our teenagers enjoyed it, but there was nothing else there except the pool (there was also a small pool for little ones), think we might have got a bit bored had we stayed 2 weeks. Beach was a good half hour walk away, we didnt go to it but heard it was very nice.

Room Tip: avoid apartment 36A!
