I do agree that the amount of holiday makers in a this hotel did have an impact on the enjoyment of our holiday, not getting sunbeds, I watched people reserving as early as 7am, However the management and Luke the rep from first choice who is fab had taken complaints of this seriously and had were removing towels from beds if they had been reserved for more than a couple of hours. Also, there are lots of chairs and we used the grass at the sports area. The pool area is clean and decked, there is no children's pool. The queues at the bars and restaurant and not being able to see the evening entertainment was irritating because of the volume of people crammed in.. however, the sports bar was great for a quiet drink, and good conversation. The food was plentiful and i am a vegetarian and there was always variety, the pizza restaurant for lunch was lovely and the toasted sandwiches in the sports bar were great too. I have been to all inclusive when other snacks than crisps and ice-cream were available but to be honest we never once went hungry. The hotel and the resort are very clean and I agree with previous comments that the sea view is amazing to wake up to. always tidy and clean and great air conditioning. The facilities and activities in the sports area were fantastic from large chess to tennis and mountain biking, the staff were really friendly, very hard working and helpful and worked very hard to make our holiday great. Within days the bar had relaxed the rule for 2 drinks per person(which was silly when there is more than 2 in a group in meant the whole party going to the bar) so this is better, I do understand it is trying to stop all inclusive being abused. The seafront is great with the paved area but there are charges for parasols and sunbeds, the sea can get rough so it is worth looking out for the coloured flags The beach is a bit of a walk when it is hot across scrub land and rocks so not suitable at all for push chairs or anyone with mobility problems, However it is lovely and unspoilt and I think is used by the locals more than tourists so worth a visit. There is no atm machine and a few shops and restaurants Dinky's bar and the Asia restaurant. The train is fun and takes you around the small resort. It is very quiet and remote buses do go to Mahon the last one is 6.30 then you need to rely on taxi's so I think car hire is probably a good option if you want to get around or perfect for totally relaxing. We had a great holiday and would go back. thank you to San Luis for giving us some happy memories.
