We went to Villa Jol for our summer holiday. There were 4 adults and 3 children in our party all together and we had ample space. There are four large double bedrooms, all with more than adequate storage, 2 bathrooms (ideal if you are two separate families like we were). As you approach the villa on the first floor there is a living room area with a modern tv and internet tv channels (very useful to keep the children entertained), good wifi connection too. The modern kitchen has every useful appliance you can think of such as oven, hob, fridge freezer, full size dishwasher plus every utensil we needed throughout our stay was available! There is also a utility room too with washing machine and a handy washing line, a spacious separate dining room. All the bedrooms are on this level, the beds were comfy (so everyone said, we only used the master) and the furnishings are contemporary in design so feels very cosy without being to personal.
From the lounge area there are stairs which head downstairs where you'll find a games area with a full sized pool table and a separate table tennis room! there was also a cosy sofa, another T.V and a nintendo wii to play if you wanted to.
Outside there is a nice sized pool which was lovely and warm during our whole stay, enough to cool you slightly on a hot day without any shivering! The hot tub was lovely too, perfect for evenings, plus its in the shade which is nice if you want to get out of the sun for a bit. The bbq is opposite the bar area which has a fridge and microwave plus there is a separate WC and shower room which I must say was very handy for the children and saved them running through the villa to use the toilet with wet feet!
Outside the Villa you can take a short walk down the hill to the Marina and what a Marina it is! Beautiful! The bars and restaurants are all lovely. We ate out a few times and highly recommend McSorleys for a breakfast & Azure for the best fish and chips I've ever tasted! There is also a handy supermarket there and an organic pharmacy should you need it.
You can also take a trip on a submarine whilst holidaying or take a boat trip to Puerto del Carmen which made a nice change. Alternatively you can grab a taxi there for about 8 euros which is pretty reasonable.
All in all, I can't fault the villa or the location, we're definitely going to holiday at Puerto Calero and Villa Jol again :)
