I stayed for 3 nights with my wife and 10 yr old son. The boat is well laid out with internal and external seating and two bedrooms, one at either end. There is also an area for sun bathing at the front.
As this is a boat and space is at a premium all available cubby holes are used for storage of one kind or another. Jorge showed us where everything is but it takes a little getting used to. Cooking facilities were good, the bottle gas cooker was more than sufficient and the fridge was excellent.
The location on the marina is perfect, the bars and restaurants are a stones throw away and yet you will be undisturbed. I really enjoyed sitting on deck in the peace of the late evening and early morning just feeling the gentle motion of the boat and the creak of the ropes.
Jorge was excellent to deal with and easily contactable. A minor issue we had with the toilet was resolved and it was restored to full working order. There are also excellent toilet and shower facilities on the marina.
I would fully recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking for something a little different to the normal hotel room or apartment.
Myself and my wife booked on this yacht for one night as a special surprise for our anniversary as per booking we waited until advised check in time when we arrived shortly after and waited nearly three hours ( just as well the marina is lovely) to no avail no one was there to open up the yacht meet or greet us? We tried emails and phone calls to Jorge as per our booking agreement, even cafe staff tried to help by telephoning. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We await some kind of response from the owner?
My daughter and I go to Lanzarote every year and we love it we particularly love Puerto Calero, sitting in one of the numerous restaurants and watching the world go by admiring the boats in the marina. The opportunity to spend a few nights on board Vientos Del Sur yacht was not to be missed. What a wonderful boat and a memorable birthday break with a difference. From the moment we booked communication with the owner, Jorge, was excellent. He very kindly picked us up from the airport and there was a bottle of wine to welcome us on board. He took time to show us where everything was and how things worked. There is a shower and toilet on board but to be honest we took full advantage of the excellent shower/toilet facilities on the marina itself. These are exclusively for boat owners and guests and only a short walk from where you are moored in the marina. Everything is very compact as you would expect but the ability to sit out on deck taking in the sunrise or enjoy a glass of wine and gaze at the stars from this particular vantage point is second to non. In short, we loved it! a fabulous 4 night break creating special birthday memories and it’s definitely given us the taste for life on the ocean wave. We will most certainly go again and probably try Jorge’s other boat in Marina Rubicon next time. Thank you Jorge and Raquel (hope to meet you next time Raquel!)
We have just come back from a week on board this boat and have had the most relaxing holiday. George and Rachel couldn't have been more helpful. The boat has everything you need to be a base for exploring or sit and watch the world go by. The marina itself feels very safe and is peaceful at night, you can only hear the chatter in the restaurants and then silence. We loved that there were so many different restaurants all quite reasonably priced.
If you take a 5 minute walk there is small pebbly beach you can access for swimming.
There are on board facilities for showering etc but I can recommend the marine facilities exclusive for the boats, super clean with somewhere to plug in your hairdryer!

We enjoyed every minute of our recent 2 night stay on board. The Owner / Managers are most helpful and friendly...lovely folk and great to deal with. Generous with their help and time. The boat is moored in a perfect location in Puerto Calero Marina. Great spot, lovely surroundings, plenty to do, good restaurants and bars (reasonably priced), shops, excellent security too if that´s something that bothers you. Quiet at night. The boat is really spacious for two. She´s comfortable and clean and equipped with handy galley kitchen (stove, fridge, etc), indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, double bed and more spacious twins. There´s apple stowage space. There´s a shower and loo on-board or you can use the excellent marina ablution facilities which are close by. There´s a music box and DVD (no tv reception) player should poor weather drive you under deck. We can highly recommend this option for a shorter (or indeed longer) stay on the island. You should consider a minimum of 2 nights (ideally 3+) to really relax and enjoy. If you´re still wondering whether it´s for you...just take the plunge and give it a try. We did...we loved it and we´ll be back!
