“Super place. The best in the area.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2012

We wanted the best in the area and for sure we got it! It is a little bit hard to find but once you do you will want to come back.
What a lovely, warm, friendly restaurant with really good food. It is in a residential area and you walk down a ramp into a wonderful courtyard/patio area. The tables are beautifully paid out with care and attention to detail such as the flower petals on the crisp white linen.
Service was so professional, prompt, smiling and friendly. Truly excellent staff. I noticed a smiling woman greeting and going to tables and assumed she was the attentive owner (?).

Fresh bread with a garlic mayonnaise and some good quality olive oil to match.
The menu is varied with a good selection of meat and fish dishes. I had to have fish on this lovely island.

Starters of a tapas plate which was delicious and my beautiful partner has pulpo/octopus which was so tasty.
Mains of a delicious local fish called cabrilla for me which I really liked and I am not a big fish fan. Unfortunately a fairly ordinary and tough squid for my partner. This should have been better however this was the only small let down and it did not detract too much from the overall experience.

Dessert of white (too soft and runny) and milk chocolate mousse. It was my birthday (gee...I want to forget them now!) and a nice touch as a sparkler on a scoop of delicious ice cream came to table with a singing staff!!

A soft smooth medium dry recommended white wine called Naia.

“Jandia's best kept secret.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2012

Over the last six years my wife and I have holidayed in Jandia three times normally in the winter months. From our first visit we were recommended to eat at the Marabú. Every holiday since we have eaten there often, whether we were ‘All Inclusive’ or not.
It has not changed.
The food is superb.
The service is superb.
The ambience is superb.
What more can I say!
Get your hotel to make a reservation for you and order your taxi. The reservation is a must!
The clientele are mainly German, the dress code appears to be casual but smart. There are menus in English and the staff speak sufficient English along with several other languages.
When you leave after your meal you can make your own reservation for your next evening (you will want to) and they will order your return taxi.

“Nice ambiance and great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2012

We stayed 12 days in Jandia and it was rather difficult to find good restaurants in the Jandia & Morro Jable area. We only discovered Restaurant Marabu 2 days before our holiday ended. We were very fortunate to get a table on the last 2 evenings of our holidays as losts of regular guests seem to dine here every night. We enjoyed the restaurant ver much. You can eat indoors or outdoors in a lovely garden. Very friendly service and GREAT food. The best gazpacho I have ever had, very good meats, fresh vegetables, delicious fish, great desserts and interesting wine list. Try the beuatiful presented platter with serveral starters! When you decide to dine here you must take your time and not be in a hurry. It can be rather busy and then it takes some time before you get your food. We think this is the very best restaurant in the area. We also like the restaurant Avenida del Mar and the Italian restaurant Mattarello in Morro Jable.

“Fabulous...........”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2011

If you are in the area this is a must! A proper Spanish restaurant serving locals and tourists a fine selection of well prepared dishes.
We were staying next door and didn't realise this place existed until our last night! We were fortuante to get chatting to a couple who had been the previous evening and accompanied us there for their second night. The dishes were excellent and fairly priced.
Should we retrn to the area we will have no hesitation in returning.
