We stayed in this 'hotel' in February 2011. It is a very unpretentious set of rooms with a wonderful view of the sea and as it faces west has glorious sunsets. Travellers expecting luxurious living will be disappointed. We were not. There was a perfectly adequate ensuite loo and shower room with hot water, and the bedroom was spacious and had a cooling fan. Mohammed, the manager, was very helpful. We were there to see development projects and he arranged transport for us. The one day we could spend on beach on a neighbouring island was a delight. The food was plentiful and well cooked. If you want posh cocktails round a pool, this is not the place for you. If you want to experience Pemba- a relatively undeveloped, economically poor, but beautiful island, we can recommend it. However transport is needed- there is car and moped hire on Pemba- or you can rely on Mohammed.
