What a shame that all the owner seems to care about is making money.
We phoned to book on our way from Caen-tired and hungry!- and asked what time the restaurants in the village stopped serving lunch-we were told 13:30( this turned out to be a compleye lie) and that, just for us, they would keep the hotel restaurant open as a favour
We were a bit confused as, for a hotel charging minimum E200 per night, we would expect at least the option of a sandwich or light lunchtime snack.
Anyway we were very grateful until we arrived to be ushered into a dark and strange restaurant (not vaguely connected with the hotel). The menu was for dinner, no lunch options, the cheapest main meal was E35 and the only options were bison and steak. For lunch this was a bit strange...!
When we ordered a 'sun-downer' we were told to get it from the mini bar (E49 for a half bottle of champagne!!!!). When we said we would like a drink from the bar & we did not want to pay mini bar prices (the bar was closed the entire time) we were told we had to wait for the owner to come up from the restaurant (on a different street altogether....).
If you want to pay E17 per persOn for a coffee, an orange juice, a thimble of fruit (no exaggeration) and a basket of bread then this is the place to go for the most overpriced breakfast in the world.
As for the room it was one of the smallest rooms we have ever stayed in. No turn down. No shower ( a hand held option in a bath only) and as mentioned by other reviewers no ventilation with loo in same bathroom.
The owner is aggressive and rude and I just pray nobody else wasted one night of their time or their hard earned wages on this mediocre and money grabbing establishment who have no care or regard for their guests.
The most appalling place We have ever had the misfortune to stay in.
