When you arrive in the small square of Puligny Montrachet there is the Le Montrachet Restaurant and hotel. This restaurant makes their escargot in a bit of a unique manor. All throughout Beaune the escargot is delicious, but at Le Montrachet they first prepare a small piece of bread that is full of heavenly garlic and oil and place it inside the shell before inserting the escargot. Therefore; when you pull our the escargot along comes this extra gift of a small piece of fresh French bread that has been cooked to perfection with the escargot. It is a dream!!
