We went here for a romantic two-night adventure to make a start on discovering Burgundy. We stayed in the room called the demoiselles - very reasonably priced at 90 Euros a night - which is one of the four available rooms in this gorgeous place, so reserve early. Prices, as i recall, differ for every room and range from 80-120 Euros a night.

An amazing breakfast is included and served from 9-10AM! When i say amazing i mean you are seated at the table and served delicious, fresh, home-made food prepared by the Master and Lady of the house.

The hosts are lovely people who can tell you a lot about the area and gladly give recommendations on places to go and visit and to taste food and wine.

If you happen to have the chance of enjoying a dinner party - again served and prepared by the hosts - i strongly recommend that you take the opportunity to taste a delicious 6 course meal in the comfort of your hotel. Again the dinner is very reasonably priced and the Master of the house keeps an excellent wine cellar to choose from. We had one pricy and one inexpensive bottle and both were delicious!

The exterior of the hotel is delightful, the house overlooks a square and there is hardly any traffic noise. the interior is extraordinary and very tastefully decorated so you feel at home immediately.

The house is closed from 11AM to 4 PM to give the hosts some time for themselves, so plan your day trips accordingly, but be certain not to miss out on tea and conversation in the salon, which takes place around 5 in the afternoon.

Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated, very clean, with ample space and a mountain of pillows on the bed and most importantly had a bathroom with a very spacious bathtub, ideal for sharing a bottle of Crémant!

Room Tip: There are only four, but one has a separate access so if you would like to return to the room mid af...

If you prefer your accommodation to end in an 's' rather than an 'l' [d'hotes/hotel] then look no further. Room of the hosts (chambre d'hotes rather than room in an hotel) describes this place perfectly. John and Celine are perfect hosts. Previous reviews tell the whole story and we would wholeheartedly agree with all the positive comments. We will need to come back though as we are yet to try Celine's cooking.

My mother and I were so fortunate to be able to stay at Domaine des Anges for 8 nights in September, 2012. Not enough good things can be said about this totally charming place, its lovely accommodations and its great location. But it is your very gracious, generous hosts, Lady Celine and John, that make your stay here a magical, incredible experience. Your every need is met without hesitation and you are truly treated as family. Lady Celine's fabulous cooking and amazing presentation is unsurpassed by any we have experienced in France. Our stay here remains our fondest memory of all our visits to France. We are so eager to go again soon. Thank you, Lady Celine and John, for your wonderful hospitality and your many kindnesses.

Room Tip: A reminder that Domaine des Anges is a private home and, as such, there is no access to the house du...

We stayed 2 nights at Domain des Anges in the self contained accommodation. The accommodation was clean & nice. The owners John & Celine were friendly & charming & we enjoyed chatting to them at breakfast each morning and over a pre-dinner drink. We had dinner one night which was enjoyable & good value & the breakfast was plentiful & well presented. The information provided on vineyards to visit is extremely helpful when you have a short time in the region. I would recommend the place to any traveller.

Room Tip: The self contained accommodation was very comfortable.

We stayed here last year and had a wonderful weekend. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts and dinner were delicious. Celine and John also gave us fantastic advice about the area (including pointing us in the direction of an open weekend at the nearby Savigny Les Beaune).

We stayed at Des Anges late November . We took the little suite where you can come and go as you please. The room is extremely comfortable, great bed, quiet and very cosy. I do not know what it would be like to stay in the main house which is lovely but there are hours you must be out during the day. Celine and John are special and very kind. We had dinner one evening with them and the guests that joined and it was excellent. Breakfasts are terrific. Fresh juice, great coffee selection of cheeses, breads and egg. It is a great place to start your tour of burgundy. Puligny is a tiny town, but we loved it's proximity to beaune and frankly everywhere. A wonderful place to start your holiday.

We were 2 couples traveling in Burgundy together; we had chosen Domaine des Anges when one of us found it on the internet and the other confirmed in Rick Steves' FRANCE 2012 that he was a fan. We booked from the USA a few months ahead and had the experience of two rooms in the main house (it is a fabulous property, beautifully modernized), then one couple moved to the Bienvenue-Montrachet room after 2 nights so we could, if needed, have a place to hang during the day if needed (it really wasn't necessary, but the room was wonderful, big and comfy and one rainy day we did have to use it)--the main house is closed from 11 to 4:30, which sounds difficult before you get there, but in fact works quite nicely. The English couple, John and Celine, are not only terrific cooks (we booked dinner one night and were so glad we did--it was the night we arrived and we were exhausted), but are fun and charming hosts who know everything and everybody in the region. Their advice of where to eat, sightsee, and how to arrange it all was invaluable....and it was the gift that kept on giving as we continued on our travels and saw Vezeley and the gardens at Villandry thanks to their urging. We cannot recommend this experience highly enough, We would never have made it Chateau de Sully without their advice, and the Castle at Rochepot is not to be missed. Just walking the golden vineyards in the fall (we lucked into Indian Summer weather, too) was a gift. Eat at Olivier LeFlaive and take the vineyard tour the next morning----superb and all in walking distance of the B & B, along with several other worthy and fairly priced restaurants. This means that you can signtsee all day, then come back for a rest and walk out to a lovely meal....we thought that the perfect mix for our needs. A jewel of a place run by great folks who give lots of help and endless insights into what makes France tick, all with a lovely sense of humor.
