Great emphasis on wine tasting from Olivier Leflaive's reputable vinery. Simple but quality meals to go with the tasting. The menu is pre-set, €25 for food, €15 for 8 wines tasted, or you can go to 12 for €20, great education about the local appelations goes along with the tasting. Great value. La Table opens for lunch at 12.30 PM. Reservation is required since it is usually booked in advance. Quiet charming local place. There is a bakery near by - try their fig bread! Amazing!

We had lunch here, which is a 6-course set lunch (including coffee and Gougeres) for €25 pp and then you choose which wines to go with it. We didn't book and were able to get a table.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who speak English. The food was simple, but very good and the wine was excellent.

We would definitely go back.

Taste your way through burgundy here with a lunchtime tasting or stay at the hotel. For me I preferred the old tasting lunch in the less swanky surroundings but its VERY well done here. Oh and the champagne served here is my favourite Drappier.

The previous posts detailed the lunch and wine tasting menu. I'd like to suggest something that really enhanced the experience. At 10:00 am a 1 1/2 hour walking tour of the surrounding vineyards begins at the restaurant. Be sure to sign up in advance and the cost is €15.

This amazingly informative walking tour of the village and surrounding fields assumes a certain level of understanding about producing wine. You are lead by a winemaker/sommelier with many years experience producing wine in the region. Our group included maybe 10 people so the one on one opportunity to ask questions was unlimited.

You are taken out into the fields of Puligny-Montrachet and can feel the vines as he explains planting, grafting, pruning, biological growing and care taken with these vines. The focus is on describing the terroir that makes this place so famous. You leave this session with an immense understanding of exactly what has combined to make such good wine.

If the details of soil characteristics, slope, sun orientation, wind and growing techniques have any interest to you this will be an amazing time. You can feel the soil and see the differences in how each row is maintained to prepare you for your tasting.

If it all seems a bit too complicated don't worry, your 10 glasses of amazing wine is just around the corner. You will certainly have a better appreciation of what went into making these bottles that you will soon be enjoying. Just email the hotel to make reservations.

By the way, we met people who had spent €500 on an all day guide who didn't get 1/2 the information presented in this €15 tour. The cellar visit follows at 11:30 and is included in the price of the lunch
