“Excellent hotel”

Small but cool stone walled rooms. Fantastic views towards the Syrian border from the terrace (a long way away). Friendly and helpful staff, and centrally located but quiet. Quite a few steps up and down from the top of the hotel to the main street, but Mardin is built like this.

In my opinion the best hotel in Mardin. We have been there this month and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is just in the center of the old town with a magic view from its terrace. Breakfast is delicious and the room was very clean and confortable with good wifi signal in all hotel areas. The staff was perfect, especially Halil Kataras, the beautiful front desk lady Nurcon Gazan, Şeyhmus Fırat, Saad Mardiny and Mardinli Fuat (I´m sorry if I made a mistake with the names) but all of them were very friendly, attentive and efficient. Looking foward to go back to Zinciriye Hotel one day.

We enjoyed this 600 year old hotel, that is a boutique one. Our room was 402 at the top. Very comfortable medium size room with small but nice bathroom.

Location is good for the main shopping street and other sights in town.

Room Tip: The higher the room, the better view, even if it is still limited.

This hotel is the best and highest point you can stay in Mardin. It is an old traditional stone house run as a butique hotel now. Rooms are clean, a smal open buffet breakfast is fine. Ulu cami, şehidiye cami, kızlar mektebi are too close. Zinciriye Medresesi is just in the next street, you can reach from the teras. You can watch the Mardin city while drinking tea in the teras. Thanks a lot to Şehmus Bey and Seyfi Bey. They were so kind and helpful.

We slept here in December and it was a great experience. The view from the terras is amazing and all the rooms have beautiful stone walls. It felt like sleeping in a castle. Breakfast is ok as well. Due to the low season bargaining for prices is possible, we get 20 tl off the price (now 100 tl for a double)! Rooms downstairs do not have the most fantastic view as rooms which are located upstairs but downstairs rooms are bigger and around 30 tl cheaper. Bathroom, perfect only dont shower too long because otherwise you will run out of hot water.

Mardin is a very lovely city. The Zinciriye hotel is an interesting stone hotel. The room is sort of like a suite with a little living room connected to the bedroom. A good location next to the Zinciriye (Islamic school). Staff are friendly and helpful.

Seems in&out has to rely on taxi, especially when the old city is doing pipe construction. The person working in the breakfast room seems very eager to finish the service even there was still more than half hour to go.
