This beautifully refurbished place (the former villa of french artist Bernard Buffet) has been transformed into a first class hotel and restaurant. We were there for dinner only but also had a chance to look around in and around the building and the park with a sensational view.
As far as the dinner was concerned: Tasteful, cosy ambiance (Aperitif taken at the the fireplace), very creative, delicious and masterfully cooked cuisine based on local produce: light (but certainly enough) - if the chef keeps this high standard the place certainly will become a candidate for a Michelin star. The service is extremely helpful warm and friendly, the restaurant prices meet the hight standard but are still very reasonable (€ 90.00 - 100.00 per person incl. aperitif and wine).
The concept is interesting: no printed menu, the waiter offers two choices of starter, main dish, cheese and desert and also a choice of two excellent wines for every course.
All in all a wonderful dinner experience - we decided to come again and then stay in one of the very elegant and tastefully equipped hotel rooms for some days.
Important: Restaurant reservation advisable because priority is given to hotel guests.
