“Fantastic location”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Just returned from a week's stay at the Dorada hotel in the Sirenis Cala Llonga Resort - thoroughly enjoyed our stay, hotel food etc was excellent and the weather was amazing. Staff are all extremely friendly. Only upsetting thing was I think I have left my wedding ring behind in room 2131 (16th - 24th August 2013) so if anyone finds it I would be really grateful if someone would hand it in to the Reception staff. I can be contacted at cheryl.drayton@gmail.com if anyone wishes to contact me about it directly.

Room Tip: Room 2131 is a quiet room at the side of the hotel. The only problem with all of the rooms is that...

Just got back from this hotel with my husband and 4 year old daughter. The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, and the room suitable for a week. Perfect location in a beautiful bay, sea views, lovely little village, with wonderful restaurants and bars. The down sides were paper thin walls. You could hear everything..and I mean everything your neighbour's were doing and saying. The doors were on springs, so they slammed if fellow guests did not close them gentle. There is only two lifts servicing 8 upper floors and 2 lower floors. 6 people at once could get in each lift, so if anyone was in with cases, or airbeds you had no chance. We were half board. The food in the restaurant was good, but not varied enough. There was always pasta available for the little ones and a chocolate fountain appeared on the last couple of days. We had lunch and some evening meals out in the local restaurants which with a sea view and warm breeze was breath taking. There were limited sun loungers. Our fellow Brits were up crack of dawn to bag a sun lounger. If you didn't have one reserved by 8am you would struggle. Some people put towels on beds all day, just to use them for a few hours between 3pm. The beach was wonderful. 15 euro 2 loungers and a brollie Entertainment average with spanish kids entertainment, and spanish music which my daughter did not understand.

Room Tip: We e-mailed the hotel two weeks before to ask for a quiet but sea view room. We got one but there wa...

Ok it's that time of year again review time. Lets start with a few names I remember well. Asun, Laura,Donovan (with chips and a straw),javi, there are more but names I don't remember. These members of staff are fantastic always a smile always polite a lot of people at home could do with training from these people in customer service they are that good. Second time in the hotel and still impressed my room was cleaned by estella to a high standard. Watched the pool area cleaned every day and the staff work so very hard so a thank you to you all. Food was plentiful and varied more variation than at home could have done with that massive joint of beef every day it was lush. If I had to have a down side it would be the big life guard who spent most of his time swanning around thinking he was gods gift or with his head buried in his phone. Thank you to carol in the VIP room it's alway good to see you. The animation team were great and made me laugh so much especially the chap that with the face that as many expressions. Thank you everyone. Ps thank you to pepe and Laura at the madisson bar always friendly it's work having a cheeky 930 am beer with them. See you all next year xxx

We have just returned from a two weeks stay with our boys 16 & 13. There are two hotels and we stayed in the Playa Dorada, which I think was the quietest of the two. The view was almost certainly five star, the bar staff, maids and restaurant staff were also five star, everyone gave 100% to make your holiday wonderful....the entertainment staff...and I say entertainment in the loosest of terms...were diabolical...the worst 'entertainers' I have ever seen...however this did not detract from a truly lovely hotel. The food was very good, the drinks not quite as impressive as other hotels. You were just one flight of steps away from the superb beach, it was so shallow and sandy, we have never spent as much time in the sea..snorkeling and swimming. The resort is very quiet, however you were only a short boat ride to Santa Eulalia, this was 48Euros for us.

This is the 4th time we have visited this hotel and again it did not disappoint! We were there for the last week of July for 10 nights and it was full (mainly English). We had a spacious family room on the 7th floor with spectacular views of the bay and the pool. The staff are fantastic - from the reception staff, cleaners, pool bar staff, Carol in the VIP lounge, lifeguards and of course, Jose and Antonio in the bar who work so hard remembering everyone's drinks each night!
Food is good, with a choice of fish, meat and the well-stocked salad bar. If you would rather eat in the pool bar at lunch time, there is a choice of omelettes, toasties, burgers, bagettes or salads.
Our only gripe is the evening entertainment - the same acts every year and the animation team acts were awful! Come on Sirenis - find something new!! The animation team worked very hard during the day with various activities for adults and kids - especially Willie and Maria. However, they didn't all understand English very well although the hotel was mainly English tourists.
The hotel is in an excellent location with ferries to local beaches or there are frequent buses to Santa Eulalia. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a family holiday.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a seaview - the views are spectacular!

Travelled to the Sirenis Cala Llonga for 10 nights from the 5th August. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 4 children. First impressions were that the hotel clearly was in a beautiful location, but that the actual building was a little dated. Check in was very quick, reception staff were efficient and we were in our rooms within 20 minutes.
The rooms are a little on the small side - however they were spotlessly cleaned. I must admit to being disappointed with the balcony, as it was very small and had a rubbish view. The walls are actually PAPER thin, and you can here all conversation from the room next door....including people vomiting.
The food is just fantastic. So much variety every day, and something for everyone. The only busy times we encountered was breakfast, but you can still get a table. The waiting staff are very good at what they do, and the whole dining experience was the best we have encountered on All Inclusive.
The bar area is also just lovely, and Antionio is such a star.....he really is fantastic - he remembers your tiple and will have it on the table before you have drank your last drink.
The snack bar is very good, and again, food was lovely and plentyfull.
The entertainment crew are just great...Willy and Maria especially, also Winston is so funny, and kept us entertained all holiday. there are plenty of activities for the children, although we found they were mainly aimed at the non-british children - this was not a problem, as our children enjoyed them non the less.
Evening entertainment was just so funny.
All in all, a fantastic location, brilliant hotel with amazing staff and wonderful food - already looking to book for next year!

We chose this hotel as we have been to other hotels in the chain and thought they were good value. This hotel was as good as the others and certainly deserves it's 3 stars if not 4. The food was very good both in the restaurants and the snack bar, there was never a meal when any of the family went hungary however at times in the Imperial restaurant at night I did find them slow at replenishing some of the dishes (it was extremely busy so that's the reason why). We ate in the Dorada restaurant for breakfast and either there or the snack bar for lunch the restaurant was never busy for breakfast or lunch however the snack bar did get busy at times.

The staff are a credit to the hotel, they work long hours however they were all extremely friendly and polite. As other reviewers have stated the service is waiter service and before your drink is finished another is put in front of you.

The entertainment was awful! To be honest I have to say the worst I have ever seen. In the whole fortnight we were there we were unable to get a bed by the pool so we got beds (before 7.00am) by the paddling pool in the Dorada hotel. As we were not by the pool we had no idea what was going on during the day as the entertainment staff made no effort whatsoever to tell guests what was going on. The evening entertainment was just terrible. We only went on 3 occassions to watch it and on one of these there was a professional act on, it was ok but unfortunately we missed some of it as one of the entertainers decided to stand in front of the stage and have a chat!!!

We would definately go back as the only downside was the entertainment and hopefully they will get a new team!

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview room, I don't think it would be too nice looking over the car park!
