My wife and I were persuaded by some close friends to perhaps give the Italian Lakes a miss for our second holiday this year and go to Cala Llonga in Ibiza and stay at the Fiesta Hotel on an All inclusive basis. We agreed to change the habit of a life time and opted for Ibiza. We let Thomson holidays take care of everything and they did so without a single hitch. What a wonderful hotel and the room we were in did have a balcony and a superb view of the whole of the bay, it was pure vista, it was a large room with a large bed and the amenities were such that we settled in within the first 15 minutes. The shower room was exceptional, Getting the hang of the very large shower cubicle and the actual shower unit took about five minutes then we could have water at a perfect temperature hitting us (One at a time) from every angle (or both at once if thats what you like).
The dining arrangements could not have been better for any of the meals we chose to partake of at the hotel and if we wanted to be out during lunch time there was a very varied and enjoyable packed lunch available to us by advising the front desk the evening before.
Breakfast: 07.00 to 10.00am was a Continental or cooked or both if we had wanted both so top marks for that meal.
Lunch 13.30 to 15.00 unbelievable choice of starters, main courses and deserts for a meal at that time of day. Top top marks.
Dinner 19.00 to 22.00 Choice choice and more choice and quality quality and more quality, superby cooked. We cant give it marks because it is off the chart.
From our perspective Sun, sea, beach, big pool and jaccuzi that all lend themselves to a lazy hazy day of total relaxation...with a bar no more than 20 feet away for our free drinks yes free or ther was always someone on hand to bring us our choice of drinks if we were feeling extra lazy.
When we felt energetic there was always some kind of competitive game going on around the pool area, not at all noisy and quite low key so that it doesnt intrude into the bliss of others luxuriating in the pool area.
We enjoyed the evening entertainment immensly, sorry we cant describe it as it was different every time with exception of Adrian who while we were there was the resident entertainer with a great voice and a clever knack of sounding just like whoever it was that made the song he was singing top of the charts.
Just one dissapointment...yeah gotta tell you this. We were there at the time when the Icelanding volcano errupted and we naturally asked the very well informed and most pleasant Alan aka Jimmy what the drill would be if the dust affected our return flight and his response was "you stay put in the hotel on a continuance of your All inclusive arrangement until we can repatriate you" Happy days! I guesswe we could put up with that. The disspoint ? we returned home on schedule.
Remember though, it is couples as thereis no accommodation available for children.

we had such a great time!
very serene, very clean, super friendly and helpfull staff.
it's on top of a hill the first day we were out of breath walking up the hill, after that it was fine.
rooms are cleaned every day, aswell as the bathrooms and the beds were also made everyday.
only minus is it's 20-30 mins from eivissa, so if u wanna go out every day it's pretty far away from the city.
and cab fair is about 16-19 euro's to eivissa,
taxi's are awlways very nice.
Ibiza has very friendly people!
if ur in eivissa visit the a-list cafe&lounge,
they have the best sushi i ever had.
and i've had alot of sushi!
it's a gorgeous very modern chic cafe/restaurant.
very exclusive drinks!
best staff ever!!

We returned to the UK after a weeks stay in a superior room with large balcony 6th floor.
First the positves: Clean in general / lovely balcony with Jacuzzi/ table and chairs. and loungers .Room had fridge/kettle/ travel iron. Beds were very firm.
Main buffet food good though as a vegetrarian choice was a bit Limited. The female Maitre' d was lovely and most staff friendly.Area still lovely and Mr Cairos Bar/ Terrace restaurant and Bocanos bar( on beach) very good.
Now for the stuff that spoiled it. Poor communication with reception staff responding to requests etc. 25th wedding anniversary not acknowledged until WE mentioned it then flowers fruit and cava arrived. Sorry to be picky but was a bit late after 3 days. Booked over a year in advance and they were made aware by Thomson.
Jacuzzi unclean on arrival and no bath. A la carte and sushi dining was disappointing . There are no longer any craft classes and other activities have been removed. I went last year with eldest daughter and had a lovely time. I think it's a shame that the re branding made this hotel less special for us and some staff less were attentive. Overall I think you would enjoy if your first visit however we would not return and I had been telling hubby all year how fabulous it was. A real shame......... still we can now start planning for our 50th wedding anniversary! but elsewhere.

Room Tip: Ask for a bay view room. high floor

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel from 25th May - 4th June and had a very pleasant stay. Our transfer with Thomson took around 40 minutes and we were checked in quickly on arrival and our cases taken up to our room. We thought the welcome drink was a nice touch.

Our room, a standard room, was lovely. We stayed on the second floor, room 221. The room it's self was lovely and clean. There was a large flat screen tv mounted on the wall, a safe, a fridge, with ample storage space. We found the wardrobes to be of a good size and managed to fit all our clothes in nicely. The bathroom was of a generous size with a huge massage shower and large sink. There's also a hairdryer, plug point and huge mirror which made drying and straightening my hair easy! We had a good sized balcony with a table and two chairs which got a fair bit of the sun in the afternoon. The towel rail out on the balcony was another nice and useful touch. We got a good view of the beach from here and a little of the pool as well.

The hotel it'self was lovely- you can see that's it's just been refurbished. Lovely lobby area and there's a nice seated area next to the upstairs bar. Outside (it doubles as the Japanese restaurant) there's additional seating where we sat at night which was also nice and comfy. The pool and main restaurant are downstairs, the restaurant down one set of stairs and the pool down another set of stairs. Down by the pool there's plenty of seating, lots of loungers by the pool and surrounding areas, lovely big beds to the right of the pool and plenty seating around the pool bar. The pool was very clean and the pool area tidy. There's also a jacuzzi bath in the corner.

The food at the hotel was varied and plentiful. There's a menu each night that tells you what's on offer (it's just by the entrance). As we were only half board I can't comment on lunch but breakfast and dinner was always enjoyable. The drinks are reasonably priced and they have a good wine menu and selection of international drinks. They do good cocktails also- although my boyfriend did notice that they come from a bottle already made.

Normally, i don't join in activites around the hotel however we did play the shooting game a couple of times. I won and got a free coctail which was nice. The entertainment team are lovely and very friendly. They always have big smiles on their faces and encourage you to join in. The evening entertainment wasn't entirely to our tastes- as we are both 22 however we did join in bingo one night which was dubed "crazy bingo" as the bingo caller was German and read the numbers backwards!! Was good fun! There's also access to pool (one euro) and table tennis. (you can get bats and ball from reception)

There's a gym and spa to the left of reception but we didn't use these. You can pick up a price list from reception.

From the hotel you can access Calla Llonga easily down a little path (saves walking up and down the hill) that takes you directly to the beach.

Although Calla Llonga is a fairly small resort it has a few good restaurants and shops. One restaurant I would recommend is Restarante SOS (just across from the bus stop). The staff are very friendly and the menu varied and the food is delicious. We ate lunch their several times and had dinner on our last night. There's another nice restaurant furtehr along the beach- i'm unsure of the name but it is a white building (near the steps to the pier) and they also do greta food. The grilled chicken and chips and the pizza were delicious!

There are a few little souenir type shps in Calla Llonga where we bought all our little presents before we left. there's also a few shops that sell food, water, sweets etc. Sol's bar- a British pub, is a lovely place to stop off for a quiet drink.

By the pier you can take a water taxi to Santa Eulalia, Formentera, Ibiza Town etc. It runs reguarly and was only 16 euro each for a return trip to Santa Eulalia (lovely place). You can buy tickets for the water taxi in the hotel at reception.

We didn't use the buses, but they are pretty cheap from what we heard. As the season was just startig they weren't as regular as they are at peak season.

As our holiday was through Thomson we booked a couple of trips. One called Spirit of Ibiza, which took us round the whole Island. If you book this, book it wih lunch as you get taken to a lovely farm and have a traditional New Zealand lunch, cooked in a hangi- an earth oven. The guide on this tour was very informative and it was a nice day out. Our second trip was Sunset Ibiza, which was a great boat trip around San Antonio, with cava and a free sangria! Afte the oat you have some free time in San Antoni, so we had dinner at a lovely chinese restaurant.

If you go on holiday with Thomson, the rep Alan-Jimmy is lovely! Very friendly and always around for a chat.

Our departure and check out were great. We didn't leave till the evening and our luggage was locked up until our bus arrived.

This hotel and surrounding area is well worth a visit - if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Room Tip: The hotel is tiered so higher floors get more sun.

Thomson 4T but officially 3 star - I wish they would act consistently.
Anyway, surprisingly small reception area on arrival but quick and efficient on process and wonderfully helpful. Booked a standard room and asked for the 6th floor which was granted but the standard rooms are quite small. We therefore asked about a suite which we were given at a very reasonable rate. An excellent suite with two rooms, two wall based flat-screen TVs, two wardrobes, two balconies - you get the picture. The bay is beautiful, the entertainment very good and varied and its worth repeating that the staff were always friendly and helpful. The food was a little disappointing due to its repetition and lack of variety but seemed to be improving towards the end of the week. The swimming pool was excellent and clean but there were not enough beds or chairs and there was the usual early morning scramble to lay towels down. All-inclusive relied on international drinks rather than local brands, the wine and gin were really quite weak and there did not seem to be any snacks available when requested. I believe the hotel had only just been refurbished and re-opened as adults only at the beginning of May so I am sure some of the minor issues will be resolved in time.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and as stated at the beginning, definitely worth another visit.

Room Tip: Go for a high floor as the hotel is built into thf

Well just back from a weeks stay in the Fiesta Hotel cala Llonga I will start off with the good points they are, very quick when arrived being given room, the staff very friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them, the hotel is very clean and the rooms, but I felt towards the middle of the week the bath room started to smell a bit musky no air vent in there so when you showered it got a bit damp.
Beds are good and had a pillow from the pillow menu which was great helped me sleep even better.
The pool area was ok clean and never to much trouble getting a bed I dont think hotel was full so maybe this helped.
Nice location with some great views.
Now the other bits All inclusive ok it says in he thomson all inclusive and sandwiches well there are no snacks unless you upgrade you all inclusive option then you get crisps donuts and nuts WOW, I have been on All Inclusive holidays before and never before have I ever had the chance for a snack inbetween meals , the food in general was good but not great got a bit tired of it after a couple of days. Service in the food hall wa great again the staff were great but for a thomson premier collection I would have thought they would have made sure it went that bit further and no labels near food to say what it was great if you have allergies.
The entertainment again not great well in fact pretty poor not much I can say the best night I thought was with the Hotels entertainment crew on the Sat Night.
Now this may sound a bit strange I enjoyed myself, nice and quiet clean but if they went that little bit further it would be great.
Would I recommend it No I think its up to people to make they own mind up like I said its good but not great and for the price they are asking I did not get what I was expecting.

We stayed here in oct for a week & we're fortunate enough to be allocated one of the best rooms on the 6th floor with a huge terrace overlooking the beautiful bay. It was very relaxing sitting on our terrace with a cool drink watching the boats coming & going.

The food was plentiful, varied & we managed to gain half a stone each!!

Although the evening entertainment wasn't entirely to our taste we did enjoy a couple of the comedians & the Thompson reps did work hard day & night.

The local bus service was excellent & cheap enabling us to visit nearby towns with ease.We also took advantage of the regular water taxi which ran roughly every hour.

The reception staff we're very helpful but felt the bar staff we're a little unsociable & moody.

All in all we had a pleasurable week apart from the weather which was a bit rough for a couple of days ie thunder, lightning & gale force winds which caused some destruction
.
Finally must add that one makes friends very easily at this hotel due to the fact that the lifts are very small & cosy especially if you're on the plump side!!
