This was our first holiday in Tenerife and wanted to book a hotel in a quiet location. This hotel fit the bill 100%.

We booked half board even though I had read reviews where people complained about the quality of the food available. The quality and range of food was excellent.

The hotel overlooks the sea and there are some lovely walks in the area. There is a supermarket and several restaurants within sight of the hotel but food is available during the day at the Vincci anyway. Plenty of loungers for you to soak upthe sun by the pool.

Will be booking this hotel again next year..

Unfortunately we were let down by this hotel. When we arrived at our room the water did not go down the drain during showering and the heavy headboard was totally separate from the main bedframe. We also had a number of very very large cockroaches in our bathroom. When we asked if we could change our room to one higher up in the hope that there would be fewer cockroaches, the staff at reception just said that there were no other rooms and that 'it is normal to have cockroaches on the island'. We were told that if we wanted to move rooms we would have to keep checking every morning at reception only to be told that there were 'no rooms available'. However on our last day we were told that there had been a number of rooms free. After asking further the receptionist said that she would send someone to the room to sort out the cockroach problem. Unfortunately all that happened was that an old lady came straight into our room and started spraying a really strong chemical. We did really enjoy the pool area though and the lifeguard that worked there was friendly and helpful. The food at breakfast was quite nice but the service from staff made the whole atmosphere very strained. There was a lady working there that was very unfriendly, making lots of noise and when we bought drinks she would throw the pad down on our table and say 'sign here'. She would then leave the pad on our table to do something else then collect it in a really unfriendly manner. The other members of staff were also constantly being told off by her. The poor service was particularly noticeable at the evening meal whereby there is no effort made to create a nice atmosphere; the lights were very bright, no tablecloths, and no music just lots of noise as dishes were moved around by the waitresses - very unprofessional. The restaurant did not seem to have a manager at all and there was nobody there to welcome you in. The hotel has lots of potential but it doesn't seem to be managed effectively. They could make a lot of money by serving lunch to people/serving drinks by the pool. This service was not available and as people did not want to eat the buffet lunch offered inside 90% of the residents went to a restaurant around the corner. I think that a lot of the problems could be solved if the management stepped up their game and employed more professional members of staff, particularly as it is supposed to be a 4-star hotel.

To our esteemed guest:

Although we have not received any information from you in order to verify your stay at our hotel, we would like to clarify some of the things you mentioned in your post.

First off, concerning the presence of insects on the island and in the hotel, we would like to inform you that we have made great efforts with regard to this issue, and that our establishment receives ongoing treatments from companies specializing in the extermination of these insects, employing safe and effective products to do so.

As for the room change you requested, we have been able to see from your post that the date of your stay coincided with a period of very high occupancy at the hotel, and, as such, we could not accommodate your request. Please do not doubt that it is our priority to always guarantee our guests’ utmost comfort, and we do everything we can to accomplish this objective.

Relating to the unavailability of the bar service at the pool, there are days on which the wind at midday in Tenerife is quite intense. On such occasions, we serve food inside of the restaurant for our guests’ greater comfort.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your positive feedback about some of the services and facilities at our hotel.

Kindest regards.

We stayed at this hotel for a 5 day break after the Christmas chaos and wanted somewhere quiet where we could relax. The hotel certainly delivered on this score. The pool area was quiet, the sunbeds were comfortable, the hotel was light and furnished beautifully and our room was comfortable. However we found the service was poor. When we arrived the reception was unmanned and we had to wait and eventually to call 'hello' to get someone to come and check us in. The receptionist appeared grumpy and only showed any enthusiasm when saying we should book all spa treatments through him. Yeah right! The bar was unmanned also and we had to wait for 15 minutes before going to reception, who then got someone to serve us. Once served that person disappeared again, so when we wanted another drink , we had to go to reception again. This happened every time and we walked away twice. All the guests sat in the bar area complained about the service. Having said that, just outside the hotel were some fab restaurants and bars including Taboo's which serves the best lasagne I have ever tasted and Gullivers Grillhouse which serves steak as good as any you would eat in Porterhouse. So my advice ... stay here for a real chill out, but eat and drink out! There is a fab supermarket across the road and a fridge in your room so stock up on drinks and snacks for round the pool and you won't need the bar!!

We came here for a week after we got a late deal with Lastminute.com. As you are, with late deals, you do not know what to expect but we were very surprised what we had booked
Our first impression looking at the hotel from the outside, appeaeds a bit shabby (paint peeling off the walls). You walk in the foyer to be greeted with a very modern look.
The reception staff (especially Claudia) was extremely helpful and looked after us very very well.
After we checked in we went to our booked room. All rooms have a sea view and although small, it had a balcony and the decor was modern and very clean.
We returned to reception and asked if we could change our room for a "Pool View".
We were offered a selection of rooms but found that for an extra 40 Euros a night we could have a Junior Suite. What a choice!!
The room was again clean and was enormous. The bathroom had a Jaccuzi bath, his and her basins and a seperate toilet.
The bed was massive and the lounge area was large. Two LCD TVs were installed to watch tv from either room. The channels had the usual British news
The balcony could host a good 20 people and the sunshine was with us all day until sunset.
I have travelled for many years staying in 4* and 5 * accomodation. This hotel ticks most 4* boxes but lacks tea and coffee facilities in the rooms.
If you book breakfast with your deal, it was ok but nothing special. the location is pretty quiet and not too far from the airport (a 10 minute drive)
This hotel has been designed to give everyone an enjoyable stay. The stairells and lobbys are dark.
Just up the road, there are restaurants, a supermarket that is well stocked. The only thing we did not like was the indian restaurant staff hassling you join their eatery.
We would come here again.
Internet was 10 Euros for 24hrs. it still worked upto the end of our 7 day holiday. it was 10 euros well spent!!

Was recommended this hotel by friends who use it several times a year. We wanted a quiet sunshine break away from noise but with some facilities and restaurants nearby and that is exactly what we got. The front desk staff were charming and most helpful at check in and arranging an excursion to Mt Teide. The room was perfect, very clean, overlooking the sea and pool area but even with the balcony doors open it was always peaceful. The pool area itself was well furnished, perhaps a little small for High Season but more than adequate for this time of year.Proximity to the airport not a problem, 10 mins by taxi, but not noisy. The local square had a good choice of restaurants which was good as we booked Bed and Breakfast at the hotel, not much Spanish but good selection of reasonably priced Indian (Hiwali excellent), Italian, English establishments plus home made icecream nearby! Good cliff top walks in both directions to Marina and Los Abrigos, a fishing village with a selection of Fish restaurants. Would definately go again.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Hotel staff were excellent in terms of myself and friends trying to plan what excursions to go on. The Receptionist gave us useful information as to which buses to catch to go to Los Christanos as well as Santa Cruz.

We stayed half-board and the food was good. We are all particular eaters i.e. some of us were vegetarians whilst one was vegan. The kitchen manager did his very best to cater for my vegan friend whereby each time we sat down to dinner, her food came delivered personally by him. She did not enjoy all the meals but it was the effort of the kitchen manager that was most appreciated.

Rooms were very comfortable with a beautiful view over the Atlantic Ocean. Did not get disturbed by the taking off and/or landing of aircraft as the airport is near by.

If you fancy somewhere peace and quiet then this hotel will be right up your street. Not ideal for families with young children as it is about chilling out and really taking things easy.
